I most likely won't be home before 18:00 today. So I want to record it. Preferably on the belgian channel 'een'. It's just that they always switch to another channel at 18:00 if the stage didn't finish yet. That would mean I'm gonna miss the last and most important part...
I don't like the dutch commentators very much so I prefer Eurosport, but how sure am I that they will broadcast till the very end?

Is there a time schedule of the stage?

edit: Estimated arrival is 17:40... I'm gonna gamble on the belgian tv. I'm soooo gonna cry if I will miss the last 3km :D

Extended TV coverage today. It should start around 15:00 CET. Arrival is foreseen between 17:23 (36km/h) and 17:59 (32 km/h).

They did almost 39km/h in the stage to Cotobello when the fastest schedule considered 37km/h, so they'll probably arrive earlier than expected today as well.

True, but these huge crowds always make me very nervous when I watch it. Specially the idiots that run along. Soon someone will fall and a rider will fall over him. It just has to happen someday.
I thought the crowds on the Madeleine were waaay too much for example. If a rider wanted to pass another rider it was practically impossible.

+1 on that

You just set the recording going until 18:30 for example.

Moncoutie in the escape. It would surprise me if Xacobeo let go any descent climbers, they need the 20 seconds.

if a good climber attacks on the uphill Xaco can either chase manically or let them go, it is inevitable that any breakaway will contain high class climbers, expect some of uran, barredo, garate, menchov, bruzeghin, arroyo, tschopp, nieve

Hard to see a break not surving till at least the final 3 km Xaco arent that strong

We will see soon.

Btw this is the stage where they should have put up a tv coverage right from the start...

Liquigas reacciona y neutraliza a todos los fugados. NIBALI Vincenzo no podía permitir una fuga de 30 ciclistas.

This is great, Liquigas is basically working for Mosquera. :D

Well, no one wants a 30-rider break, that's where the interests of Liquigas and Xacobeo meet. It might be interesting with a 15-strong break, we could see a Mexican standoff between both teams. :p

Why would a 30 men breakaway should hurt Nibali if everybody in the break has at least 30 minutes gap behind him? Of course it wasn't the case last time but 30 riders isn't the problem, somebody being too close in the GC is.

Well, yeah, but it's a given that any 30-man break in a mountain stage will contain someone who could be trouble for the GC.

I wonder what the heck is Katusha doing? They have only Gusev in the break, Caisse has Plaza and Arroyo.

If the autobus misses the time limit and Gilbert takes all the intermediates, he'll be only 3 points down in the race for green.

The autobus missed the time limit last year in Sierra Nevada. They just changed the time limit.
