Anyone got a Breakdown of GC threats in the break and gaps to podium?

How are so many riders like Degenkolb and Chaves etc dropped from the break ? You'd expect them to be able to hang in there on what is not climbing terrain

Nairo is a better rouler these days than climber

(Pernsteiner) - who was first displayed to be in the break but is now in the "peloton" according to Vuelta racecenter.

Quintana already virtually 2nd, Kelderman 6th and Knox 8th, (Pernsteiner would be 7th)

Nairo is a better rouler these days than climber

If you're on the back, a gap forms or you get caught in the wind then it's really easy to get dropped. Can't see from pictures yet but the bunch will only offer so much shelter.

Crosswind riding , and the big teams in the break (DQ, Ineos & Sunweb) boxing the other teams out of the front fan, is my guess.

I love Movistar in any GT ...they are so unpredictable and God knows who the leader is or what they are up to .....you cant buy that kind of uncertainty and entertainment

Going to miss it next year with no Quintana,Landa,Carapaz or Betencur
