How are so many riders like Degenkolb and Chaves etc dropped from the break ? You'd expect them to be able to hang in there on what is not climbing terrain

Nairo is a better rouler these days than climber
If you're on the back, a gap forms or you get caught in the wind then it's really easy to get dropped. Can't see from pictures yet but the bunch will only offer so much shelter.

Movistar gets a lot of criticism for their tactics. But today, without pics to fully judge it, they seem to have executed the ecehlons perfectly with Quintana up the road and the three strongest roleurs on the team (Erviti, Oliveira, Rojas) on his side.

I love Movistar in any GT ...they are so unpredictable and God knows who the leader is or what they are up to .....you cant buy that kind of uncertainty and entertainment

Going to miss it next year with no Quintana,Landa,Carapaz or Betencur
