Vuelta is shaping up nicely. Madrazo! Chapeau on an amazing ride, while Superman emerges as, again, a top favorite. Valverde surprises (he surprised Quintana too, I expect). Roglic was strong. Quintana? Not so great, but not a catastrophe. Pogacar looking fantastic. And Sepp Kuss rode a strong support ride today as well.

Nah matey, this is Valverde's team. Quintana profited from him splitting the bunch while Valverde himself was inattentive, otherwise he has rojo at this point and looks hard to beat on home soil. This is Valverde's race, not the underwhelming Quintana's.

Why are people complaining about valverde? Quintana is not gonna win this race and he won't even be close. Valverde has every reason to ride for himself and it's surely not in his interest that Lopez gains half a minute
