On the day the Giro has the hardest mountain stage of the season, the Vuelta... doesn't.
Giro and your combined have had less action than the VeultaWe are on stage 3 and we already have more action than in the Giro. Ironic.
No rest at La Vuelta. No wonder why they left only 18 stages.
Agreed. Plus, this isn't hard enough stage for a break to succeed... It'll come down again to the main GC guys, especially since it's a MTF... Roglic, Carapaz, Martin, Mas, Chaves... There you have the top 5 tomorrow, in any orderWind may blow strong tomorrow from the South in most of the stage.
If there are echelons in the flat between the two climbs, the break may be doomed.
The stage might actually be easy enough for the break to succeed since gaps will be extremely limited on the final climb.Agreed. Plus, this isn't hard enough stage for a break to succeed... I don't think it's hard enough for a break to not succeed. There's nothing for sprinter teams to chase for (unlike Friday, when Bora and Quickstep will be working for Ackerman and Bennett), but there's no benefit whatsoever to Jumbo to chase down any attacks.Agreed. It's 2012 again!Giro and your combined have had less action than the Veulta
It's gonna be the worst thing that happened to the Vuelta in the 2020s isn't it?It's 2012 again!
Somehow I feel some team will help Jumbo or something. Maybe Movistar. Or the break will just be weak.Jumbo would probably like to give the red jersey to some nitwit in a break. On the other hand Roglic seems eager to take bonus seconds and this is another opportunity for boni + a few real seconds.
About Valverde says that he could be a contender and that he was the last cyclist to win a stage in the Soria region in Vuelta 2004.My Spanish is spotty, at best... Anything interesting Pedro said about it? All I heard is Valverde way too many times... I guess he is tipping him for a win

Martin's only 9s down. Roglic won't give him that freedom until after he loses some time on the Tourmalet.I like Dan Martin for this tbh.
Less likely to be immediately jumped on than some of the others and we all know he's good on these finishes even when not at his best (and he's clearly in top gear for this first week).

Is this exactly the same finale?View: https://youtu.be/5xQKJ_5zYEI
This is the last time Vuelta visited Soria. Look out a young Valverde killing it at the sprint.
