Spain has six men in the 24 man break. But with the foreigners currently in the break I don't think they will win today either.
24 riders have 1 minute over the bunch, 15km covered. Maybe it's not a done deal, as the peloton is gaining time according to PCS (Ineos? Movi?)

Current situation. My prediction of Pidcock winning might still become true.

Wonder who's pulling in the peloton. Matthews and Trentin both have at least one teammate up front...

Bike ex quickly turning into the thickest team in the peloton - wonder what stannard in the break thinks of this - assuming that by driving this early, on climbs, will see them run out of teammates later in stage

Of course Matthews is a better option than Stannard, but he isn't a bad rider in his own right, and the other riders won't be eying him and expecting him to close gaps like they will with Bling, so I think the situation was alright for them. It would have been even better with two men in the group though.

If Jacobson is still in the peloton then there are no words to what bike ex are doing
He's 2:30 down on the peloton.

Either way, they won't close this on their own and I'm not sure if any other team has a reason to help them out, unless UAE want to chase down their own riders too or someone like Aberasturi or Démare is somehow still in the peloton.

You have to trust Stannard now that they are over the hardest part of the stage - Stannard is fast if it comes to a sprint finish.

Actually an interesting situation with so many different scenarios still possible re the stage win.

Positively surprised Dainese got over those hills at the end of the third week. Bodes for his future as a GT sprinter.
