I actually find that I learn a lot from him at times, often in contradistinction from what the Eurosport and GCN commentators offer up about the same aspect of a race. Of course, at other times he can be infuriating or just plain stubborn.On balance, it's worth hearing him out.

I like Horner more than Bob and Phil (now, but before I’d take Phil) but he always acts like he’s the smartest person in the room.

Vaughters was on the NBC telecast, and he said that Carthy has been up and down since his vaccination in early August and just didn't have it for a 3 week tour.

That's a pretty good excuse. Make sure ur rider takes a vaccine known to have side effects just before a major objective and belt it out instead of blaming it rightly on mismanagement

Congratulations to Michael Storer for taking the stage win.

Sad to see Valverde and Carthy abandoning. Landa looks like is already struggling. Roglič vs. Bernal vs. Movistar still signals a good race ahead. All in all i find this stage ended up being an exciting stage with a lot of action involved. It was a nice stage to watch. For my taste Roglič needed to chase down and respond to attacks a bit too much by himself. Did a stellar job. Pad on the back and fist bump at the end of the stage shows the amount of respect in between GC guys and confirms the stage was hard.

I think Jumbo shouldn't have chased as much as they did before the final climb. Could've gotten rid of red + put Kuss in better position.

I think Kuss potentially may be needed to work later on, while Grossschartner is the team leader and Haig theoretically has the deepest team of dedicated helpers (at least until Ineos decide among themselves what their roles are).

I think giving a small (enough to lose the lead on stage 9 already) gap to Grossschartner doesn't change much in terms of responsibilities while giving a larger gap would make Haig a concern.
