Roglic should quit, no sense continuing with these injuries. The best he could so is hoping to hang on to 2nd place, which is not worth it. He has enough 2nd places to go around.

Thanks!
Movistar to drill it. Remco follows easily. Roglic drops. Mods to only allow balanced unbiased sane posts.Surely Mas has to go for it now
From the top of my head, Val Martello wins in absolute number of posts but chaingate was active for far more time (months) after the stage finished. How about Val Martello 2014, or Vittel 2017?
There is no unwritten rule against attacking someone who crashed the day before. That's why I was confused, no idea what you're referring to. He's not the race leader. Tomorrow is another stage. Attack at will. They should respect unwritten rules and wait... until he fully recovers.
I mean, if someone behind wants to improve position - fine, but the 3rd place rule must be applied.
In my memory Mortirolo 2015 was bigger than 2014 Stelvio but maybe I'm wrong. From the top of my head, Val Martello wins in absolute number of posts but chaingate was active for far more time (months) after the stage finished.
Had the same impression on his first post, but his second post made it clear it was a joke/sarcrasm or whatever the correct english word is for itThere is no unwritten rule against attacking someone who crashed the day before. How would this even work? How long would they need to wait? One day? Two? Until Primoz says he feels better? Should they not have attacked Evenepoel this weekend? Come on.
And I'll be honest, the whole "wait for the guy who crashed" is IMO a bunch of nonsense in many cases. Someone crashes of their own accord (Ulrich), tough. Bike racing includes bike handling as a skill. That whole thing got distorted beyond belief because of Armstrong playing mind games and not understanding nuance. A competitor of mine crashes while racing? I feel bad for him, certainly. Not going to wait around.
But yeah, I think they should attack him while he's potentially suffering from the effects of his accident. It's a race.
Val Martello 2014 and Vittel 2017 threads have about 35 pages of post-race discussion after the point where the winner finishes the race. However, Olympic Road Race 2012 has about 36. I'm not going to count the exact number of posts. How about Val Martello 2014, or Vittel 2017?
Do we even know what his specific injuries are yet? I mean, I'm sure mentally he's probably willing, but if he's not medically able I would hope his team doctor would say so.Roglic should quit, no sense continuing with these injuries. The best he could so is hoping to hang on to 2nd place, which is not worth it. He has enough 2nd places to go around.
Second place in a GT is a huge result...Roglic should quit, no sense continuing with these injuries. The best he could so is hoping to hang on to 2nd place, which is not worth it. He has enough 2nd places to go around.
I actually don't think he has that many 2nd places. Next to the Tour of 2020 and WC ITT in Norway I can't think of any. I can't even recall a 2nd place in 1 week WT stage race.Roglic should quit, no sense continuing with these injuries. The best he could so is hoping to hang on to 2nd place, which is not worth it. He has enough 2nd places to go around.
Both had multiple auxiliary threads as well.Val Martello 2014 and Vittel 2017 threads have about 35 pages of post-race discussion after the point where the winner finishes the race. However, Olympic Road Race 2012 has about 36. I'm not going to count the exact number of posts.
Chaingate thread is well behind on about 16 pages.
Basically, you're hoping they'll beat him while on the ground?
Yeah right. His last DNF is WC road race in 2019.Roglic DNF's are unfortunately becoming the norm now......
can't quit. They need the pointsRoglic should quit, no sense continuing with these injuries. The best he could so is hoping to hang on to 2nd place, which is not worth it. He has enough 2nd places to go around.
Not in the USA! Second place is like kissing your sister, or so my wrestling coach used to tell me.Second place in a GT is a huge result...
He just DNF’d the Tour, which I believe is more recent than 2019, unless I went through some time travel experiment that has even kept secret.Yeah right. His last DNF is WC road race in 2019.
To be precise that was DNS stage 15.He just DNF’d the Tour, which I believe is more recent than 2019, unless I went through some time travel experiment that has even kept secret.
And when someone falls they have zero protection except for the helmet and gloves. if they fall at speed they're going to get messed up. Its a brutal sport for wear and tear on the body. Can anything be done about crashes in sprints? There was w hole lengthy thread about what can be done, and I think the conclusion was that nothing can be done.
