Why would he reveal any information about his rider when Remco was trying his best to claw his way back.

The norm is to wait until the stage is over before you reveal any information.
He already lost plenty of time before before they called lefevere. It was over there and then. If you think evenepoel is a natural gt rider you havent been paying attention. He showed weakness in every gt he started.

You dont believe me? Ok so what am i lying about then? I m watching sporza btw.
You are referring to PatLev not knowing anything else than Remco being OK before the start, and you conclude Remco cannot be ill (and you wronlgy assume Patlev got any more info after Remco dropped: he didn't).
One (PL not knowing about illness) doesn't exclude the other (illness), e.g. he can start feeling bad after the race started.

Right now, on broad terms we more or less have a calibration of how the 5-6 GC contenders (Jumbo, Ayuso, Mas) will behave.

With the exception of Marc Soler. In that sense he is the only wildcard competing.

Big talent in its early years, good results and performances scattered along his career, but never that high on a GC. Who knows.

That is possible i guess but he looked great and sounded confident and optimistic in his pre race interview.
