Jumbo should control this at under 5 minutes. If Evenepoel is gonna do this every day, you can't let him get a heap of time every day, and it's better to limit it on terrain that's comparatively easy.
There are 7 non-Jumbo riders who will defend their top-10 before Jumbo needs to start worrying

You have the strongest team in the race by a gazillion miles you don't ask pretty please if others will please help you.

Just pace the rest of the stage with Gesink, Tratnik, Van Baarle, and Valter. Let Kelderman drive the last climb.

At some point in this race, be it today, be it next week, people will just start to flat out refuse to cooperate with Remco.
I think that should happen in about 20 kms today. Why should Bora pull with Remco, Buitrago and Rodriguez. It's breakaway from the breakaway time. You now Costa will do nothing :D

Didnt Bardet say yesterday it was an honour to ride with a legend? These guys (except maaybe Buitrago and Kämna) knows they aint gonna beat him so they ride to Get a story to tell the grandkids :tearsofjoy:
Apparently beating a legend is no story to tell the grandkids.

Honestly I just think they have too much pride to go full suckwheel mode
