No idea who wins from this break.
It can't be Remco because nobody would be foolish enough to pull him along.

edit: added "can't"

So sepp has been attacked by his teammates going for the stage win. If the break takes it, does he get attacked by Roglic under the guise of defending 3rd place?
Or is it just a straight up attack by Vingegaard on the final climb to take the lead?

As long as his thread title still seriously labels him as the next Merckx then I’m good for more jokes and anecdotes.
The issue isnt the thread title, the issue is people thinking it is 100% serious.

FFS, its been said over and over again: the thread title was made when he was a junior and the thread creator have said it was made this way as a joke because basicallyall promising Belgian riders the last 40 years have been labeled the new Merckx.

Sure, as I say there is a clear attempt by the media to portray Sepp as the good guy,
How so? He has ALWAYS been portrayed as a good guy, a loyal helper, an important teammate.
It just so happens we have this opportunity to see a nice guy finish first and that is a nice story.

If anyone is being portrayed as a nice guy its Jonas and all his virtue signalling dedications of stage wins

If you wade into the Remco thread or many of the Vuelta threads you’ll find that a lot of people believe he is the second coming of Merckx (who isn’t dead yet).
Given you didn’t get the joke in the thread title I assume you also aren’t able to sort out those people that are being ironic and making statements like that as jokes.

There are only very few deusional fanboys that really thinks Remco is the best GC rider in the word for example. But a few delusional fans you see in every camp, there are even someone thinking Froome seriously couldve challenged for the Tour title this year with a better program and better support from the team…

Vingegaard will stay with Kuss today. I think it’s over after he decided not to take red yesterday when he clearly didn’t go all out. Only situation it changes is if Roglic drops Kuss by enough to threaten red in which case Vingegaard follows and takes it.

Good to hear the Wrekin (nice hill less than 10 miles from home) make it on to Eurosport today. It's not a mountain though, despite Kirby's claim.

Cool. Has Jessie Diggins or Lizzie Deignan come out to say that they should ride for Sepp too? I'm playing bingo.

(note: it would be HILARIOUS if Lizzie Deignan was to say they should ride for Sepp given she's dedicated her career to being a selfish leader who almost never rides anything unless she gets sole leadership)

Being serious though, Thomas morally pontificating on what other teams should do is hardly a new thing, but I'm presuming he got asked a loaded question there.

AS i thought the issue is between Roglic and Vingegaard

Its not either doesn't want Kuss to win ...Its they don't want the other to win or do better than them in the race
Contrary to the fanboyism it seems like the boogeyman in fact is Primoz Roglic.

How surprising... Not!

Unfortunately, a lot of Remco fanboys don't see it as a joke but rather as a statement of fact.
