Sometimes I wonder what you do for a living.
How do you in the most humbly way answer such a provocative question?
OK starting with backfire; FYI, not everyone is cut off from having infinite time for themselves.
In my case, severe busyness and just adding last half decade of years, both in terms of work with round-the-clock shifts, serious illness in several people in both the immediate family and in the next level, beloved to take care of, besides small kids mostly alone together with.
*edit* not just a keyboard warrior here. Been out on the bike in a lovely mix of clouds, puddles, sun, cats and dogs for several hours early this morning, besides attended more amateur "recreational races", one of my favouites being a race typically spiced with
rain constantly riding for 5 hours with temperatures around 0°C, typically with slippery mud from fields on the tarmac, huge puddles etc. This fighting some hard sneezes driving around with white knuckles and no gloves. You know the limit and respect the limit.
But with all due respect, of course, it cannot be compared to riders who make their living from it, unlike the above-mentioned cycling race where the reward is a hot bowl of soup (fortunately, the race has been resurrected after otherwise being canceled the past few years, now my only personal issue is...time!

).
But at least the professional riders also have a knack for negotiating the right side of the limit.
They are in fact supposed to be professionals within this field.
