Reminds me of van Baarle running into an official after the finish at the Vuelta a few years ago, and then was a DNS the next day. It all happens at the Vuleta - good and bad!

Also Lizzie Deignan won stage 1 of the Women's Tour in 2015, crashed into a cameraman at the line and DNS stage 2. That was a sprint finish though so she was likely going faster than Remco was here.

Everyone else was not celebrating at the finish line, though, and could start breaking earlier. Still, I think that this was caused by a combination of both, poor finish area design and Remco paying attention a bit too late.

No. Remco is actually extremely likeable. Great ride and insane sprint by Remco. Organizers so far are amateurs.
