The way they hit each other for position today in the sprint was nasty too.

I mean what did they think would happen at that sharp left hand turn at the end. I know it's super fashionable to sh*t on the Vuelta organizers right now, but having such a sharp turn on the final km of a sprint stage was bound to lead to a crash.

Molano did a 'Gaviria' but Groves was too strong today.

Remco, Vlasov and Vingegård arrived all in the top20 but not sure there were any splits.

Crash was right at the end but I don't think it effected the gaps much as they were more down to bad positioning, loads of riders behind VDB made the front.

Marijn vdBergh went too hot into that curve, hit the brakes to the max sliding out.

The worst thing about that curve is that the barriers went inwards at the end of the curve. They could have solved that by going from wide to narrow in the curve in a smooth line, not with a sudden jump of around a meter that vdBergh couldn't adjust anymore to.

Crash with Buitrago at 3.9K from the finish so time loss counts.

The funny thing is that Groves thought he didn't have the win, looking behind and shaking his head. Then he saw that around the curve there was the last straight, going uphill, he recharged and overtook Molano with a last hard kick.

An arrogant victory from Groves - Checked over his shoulder with 200 metres to go and put on the afterburners with 100 metres to go.

Alpecin 9 GTs in a row with stage wins.

What's the best streak since the start of the WT?
Probably that tied with HTC’s nine in a row with 37 stage wins and 3 TTs. Could have had from 2007 Tour to 2011 Vuelta if they won at the 2008 Vuelta.
