You think Strong can survive 3km at 9% against proper climbers? Only chance I see is if he's in a sneaky group that leaves the likes of Dunbar behind. But sounds unlikely that Strong will be there and not Bennett/Riccitello.

the climb is probably too long for him, but I don't think by much, in these conditions. Problem with Bennett and Riccitello is that they will be there, but lose out against guys like Narvaez or McNulty anyway.

edit: but Strong is already dropped anyway now

As yesterday, Decathtlon settibg his tempo, so very good for them..they are not going to brocome crazy for Bennet. The good things is that Movistar and Quicky Step has people ahead, but they need more rythm in the Peloton

I said what this race needs from here is increasingly more random and absurd riders launching a GT tilt, tomorrow Rémy Rochas gets back 20 minutes and puts himself to red with a daring gambit.

This is the 'Martin s*ithouses himself into the top 10' stage at least, I completely forgot he was here.

There are several of the smaller teams thinking they should have tried to support so-and-so to stay within 10 minutes, cause they could have jumped back into the top ten in one of these “here, take 5 minutes for free” breaks.

Bennett also lost time due to a mechanical on Sunday and was held up by the crash the day before. He actually seems to be in surprisingly good shape this Vuelta.

This Vuelta has been so strange, yet another stage with a huge breakaway springing random riders back into contention are already passé—given there are only 4 pages of comments thus far.

Omg, I forgot about Magnus Cort! I hang my head in shame, he has a fantastic mustache too!

In this race though I'll have to count Campenaerts as the Mustache, if Cort were racing it would be a tossup.

Israel should have sent Frigo ahead with Meurisse, they had the numbers and the riders to gain a tactical advantage rather than dragging Narváez et al. to the foot of the final climb.

The better of the two back-to-back mid-mountain stages. Sure, the climbs don't chain together as well, but the gradients and the proximity of the final climb to the finish line more than make up for it.

They could have chained together very well and are placed perfectly for a finish in Santiago de Compostela.
