He fought hard, really deep and over the top screw up to see battle of Mas and Roglic, and they didn't have a camera on race leader!!! Lots of great riding.. Castillo , just everything perfect..his attack looking like he was already toast from the start. He spent more time looking back than up the road in front of him!!
Ultra impressive by top @10 finishers!! Absolutely brutal

Yeah, only Tuesday has really underdelivered. We got maybe even more than we could hope for today with that start to the stage. Ancares was a 5 km blast by Rogla, no more was possible.

Correct, but a) that was a huge outlier for him so it remains to be seen whether he can replicate it, and b) he will have to sacrifice himself a few more times.

first, incredible ride by Castrillo, to beat both Vlasov and Sivakov on a climb like that.

second, im getting sick of climbs like this. 19k with a super steep last 3k just makes everyone wait until the final 3k. i wonder if the racing would've been better if they just finished at the top of Pajares.

He hasn't looked like being a threat for the win on a mtf since 2019, and ever since he seemed in the form of his life at that one giro stage in 2021 and then crashed out the next day, he's been riding like a zubeldia in the big GTs

I don't mind him trying with the team on these days, it shows ambition, but it never works. The only reason I had a bit of faith today was because mas looked like he lost form and Roglic back troubles..

It's a shame to see landa like this because the reason I became such a big fan was his attacking style in his 2015-19 years. So many attempts to try from distance and a lot more explosive in the MTFs. Now he is just a consistent diesel climber who can't make up his time trial deficits, is destined to always be 4th-8tj in gc
