Don't understand why riders in the break keep going in situations like that. If some GC team is pinging the gap at one minute just sit up.
To be a pro athlete you have to be a bit mad and willing to suffer just to deny the other guys a free lunch sometimes.

Soler and Pedersen probably tell themselves they are draining Visma a bit which helps their respective captains. So they won’t see it as a wasted day no matter what.

Tbh I think Visma are setting the pace they planned on the bus.

If Trine wants her husband to win the Tour again perhaps she should try birthing in July
Em ...I think you may need a lesson on the birds and the bees if you think the woman decides on a 'birthing' date
Or maybe you hail from the court of Henry the Eight ???

Pedersen is going for the bonus sprint. He needs the points.

Soler is more of a mystery why he keeps going.

No Landa, no ineos, no Astana in break. What's the point of ever getting excited about anything.

No point whatsoever but I am sure if Landa (or Fausto) is in the break in the next few days you will go there again

Its on of our human foibles....to do get needlessly excited

On the one hand, it's dreadful that the stage is so locked and predictable. On the other, it at least means we'll get a proper GC stage, and there are plenty of other breakaway stages.

Some of the finest Solerism in a while, hopefully he loses 20 minutes and gets in some breaks from now on.
