I don't think Vingegaard was in trouble, I think he just eased up a bit where the spectators closed the road, and then caught Pidcock back quite easily after.

So we wasted a couple of hours of our lives, huh?
Well, at least Pidcock will give some good interviews.

Pidcock destroying Vingo on a short hill.
Something Pogacar failed at.
These riders aren't just Milli Vanilli it.
They are riding down to Watts and Watts they know they can keep for a given time.

So if Pidcock goes out of that max wattage zone.. Vingeaard will pass, and just keep his momentum that he knows that he can keep for a given time, and not going cold.
Quite fundamental for most GC riders to be stable against the clock.

Welp, that was my day off ruined.

(Completely off-topic: is there a place to discuss politics on this forum? I rarely venture outside of the pro road racing tab)
