Pedersen is absolutely awful in full bunch sprints right now, no positioning and no speed.

Turner of all people winning a week one sprint, having been flown in last minute to boot, is also a pretty damning indictment of the field.

At least Turner got a real win after the farce at Poland. It also says something about Ineos' placement of riders. Turner should have been at this race in the first place as he is a decent sprinter.

He is getting worse results than in the Giro in a field that is orders of magnitude weaker. No, he shouldn't be expected to win, but he should be a lot closer than this.
He was getting beaten pretty comfortably by Van Uden/Moschetti/Turner/Zijlaard at the Giro.

Huh, Gaudu has to be specifically at least 8 places ahead of Vingegaard to take red? I thought he just had to be ahead...
But of course, since it all boils down to the 8 places Vingegaard was ahead of Gaudu on stage 1, I guess it makes sense.

Why on Earth would it be anyway different?

One of those 'dont cry because it happened, smile that it's over' type stages. At least we didn't got philepsen or perdersen as the stage winner
What's wrong with Pedersen if I may be so blunt?

And also; how do you decide where in the word of a bike rider to make the spelling error? At random? Is there a system?

Nice to see the French crowd go nuts while Gaudu is putting the red jersey on...

And Pedersen looks right in the green.
