I remerber those times in Movistar Lopez was one of the 5 strongest riders in Basque country, and in other ones week races...

Being a SKY domestique is a hard hard job

Yes, of course, but he was stronger in Movistar, but that kind of discussion is not for here. He is at a goodd level still anyway.

I think Sebastian Henao is there as well.

Today is going to be a very selective stage. if someone is stronger to the rest, can put big time.

Why have they let Landa go

Contador didn't react because he was taking off his rain coat

The others didn't react because Contador didn't react

How did Landa get away? Isn't he a danger for GC?

He sure is, only 7 secs behind Kelderman.

Sky has to much guys in the front  At least Tinkoff and Movistar are trying to hold the pace in the bck group...

Contador and Quintana each have a teammate, so they're just gonna work on the front until the last climb. Of course Landa has a teammate too so it's Visconti & Kreuziger vs. Lopez. Good position for Sky, but not a bad position for Tinkoff and Movistar.

Still, Tour of Flanders is a lesson in why it's good to go with the moves rather than trust your teammates to keep it close. But it's not just about the day here - Landa will probably lose time in the TT so if they give him 30-40 seconds it's not the end of the world, even if they don't pull it back today.

How big is the gap between Landa and the other GC favorites?
About thirty seconds on the top of the climb, so not extremely big. Still if Landa has an advantage and the other gc riders start to watch each other on the final climb he has a decent chance.

I doubt Landa will lose that much time in the TT...
