Etapa 3:
1. Alejandro Valverde (Movistar Team)
2. Denis Menchov (Katusha)
3. Rein Taaramae (Cofidis)

I think that this is a good sign for Taaramae and for Paris-Nice. He is not usually good at these sort of short punchy finishes.

I didn't expect much from Rabo, but this "exceeds" all expectations :)

Back to the drawing board, with their training plans.

Yeah, if a guy like Palomares can place top 10.. for crying out loud.. You wonder what they have been doing at training camp?

Smoke weed, as the Dutch are wont to do.

But realistically, Kruijswijk and certainly Mollema need a lot of kilometres to be good. Gesink is a cripple (;)) And Louis Delahaye is incompetent. Everything adds up.

Not so bad for Rabo if 7th through 15th were really all on the same time.

It's actually about 8km long so more of a medium climb.

But a good ride from him nonetheless.

The only real climbing was at the end. Definitely a punchy climb, this.

I have to retract my earlier statement since two rabobank riders finished in the same time as the group for 7th place. So they did what was expected. But certainly not more.

Still, good result for Gesink. Nothing spectacular, but after his injury you'd half expect him to come 50th or thereabouts.
