Taaramae says on his blog that Kruijswijk tried to attack in the final. This could explain his rather dissappointing result. By the way, I had to translate Reins blog through Google Translate so I'm not sure whether it's true or not.

Thats true, Taaramae writes that Kruijswijk attacked first, but was caught after about 200 meteres. Then approximately 500 meters from the finish Valverde attacked, Taaramae says that he was able to hold Valverde´s wheel about 150 meters, but then started to loose ground bit after bit. Then Taaramae adds that next 100 meters he tried to recover a bit and took it a easilier, so Menchov caught and passed him.

They were just talking about the race. The women asked how much he had driven today (yesterday). Rein said 196 km's and that the race was easy, only in the end he had to push bit harder cause he wanted to be as front as possible. Then they talked about tomorrow's race (that was today) and about the final climb. Rein said that he has to win tomorrow (today) to win the tour cause there won't be big finish climbs in last two days to win time back. In the end they wish him good luck.

Ok what's wrong with this? First to spot it get's an airguitar.

"The Spaniard"? They can't say his name without getting slapped on the wrist by their bosses?:( Or was this quote following a statement announcing Valverde as the winner?

Edit: Upon further review I don't see anything wrong with that paragraph or that race report. What did you mean?

Philippe Gilbert sitting in his comfy chair watching the race.

Commentator: " Valverde goes on the offensive with 400 m to go. That is one devastating attack. "

Phil: "Excellent..."

Getting 14th on the first uphill finish since having a complicated upper leg fracture... how is that shocking?

according to Mollema there were 60 riders left in the last 1km and then hell broke lose. He says he is satisfied with his base form but just needs some racing in the legs to get better (intensity).

T.Dumoulin

That was painful! Really happy with my result today. Last 4 km climbing were really hard. For the interested people: last km 485 watt avg

485w in the last k for a guy finishing 13th. That must mean Valverde did at least 500w+ in the last k. Impressive
