Well, definitely a good ride by Menchov, I should find that poster who earlier said this course doesn't suit him and he doesn't perform this early in the season. I still think he'll take the overall

Well obviously not tomorrow's stage....

And what do you base your statement that Valverde is better than Menchov on?

Better form, better on hills, bigger explosiveness and acceleration. Valverde is perfect rider for those kind of races, not Menchov. He did great today, but no way he's going to beat Valverde.

Relax guys.

Rabo knows what they are doing! They intentionally make a slow start so that the riders will peak for the big races and win them all!

No worries!

They really said this...

I hope Tom Dumoulin will ride the Vuelta this year, so he'll get the ideal preparation for the U23 Worlds (where, as a non-WT rider, he's allowed to take part).

Better known as the Andy Schleck strategy.

For Gesink the result is not bad, after 2 months of inactivity and a long revalidation process.

But I expected much more from Mollema and Kruijswijk. Oh well. We'll see in a month where they are

Kelderman tweets he has a bad cold. So that's why he didn't crush the field by 3 minutes.

Mollema always needs a lot of race days. Actually I think this result is quite encouraging for him. Kruijswijk? Definitely disappointing.

CN.com stage 2 report:

Denis Menchov (Rabobank) finished second on the stage, 10 seconds behind the Spaniard, with Rein Taaramae (Cofidis) and Frank Schleck (RadioShack-Nissan) finishing in the same time as Menchov in third and fourth respectively.

Ok what's wrong with this? First to spot it get's an airguitar.
