They shortened Jetse Bol's Vuelta by 11 stages. Also Bardet en Theuns and their teams I guess.

"RadioCycling understands that one of the two chartered Vuelta flights from Murcia to Valladolid had to land in Madrid due to heavy rain, wind and a lightning storm. They were then transported three hours by bus to Valladolid, not arriving into hotels until just before 3am."
Hey, at least they didn’t give their rooms away :)

Any chances of mud slides together with torrental rains and headwinds changing direction every 10 minutes tomorrow?

Before the Vuelta started they listed all the favorites and at the bottom (in red) they put their best GT result.
Don't want to spoil the party but it's in the bag newspaper.

Remco doesn't need to pull all the time back on Sepp in this one TT. He just needs to eat up a lot of it and let the rest of the mountain stages play out.

To me it looks like it says 2021, but I might also be more blind than Alex Zülle.
Took the picture in a hurry (without Remco's name in it) and was trying for days to upload it here. Not my best effort.

I read it and went: "we Belgians are even more chauvinistic than I thought". Or they know more than all of us.

Indeed, best case scenario Kuss still has around 30s

Remco is without a doubt the favorite for the stage win and perhaps good gains on his nearest competitors - but I wonder about what JV has plotted to contained him.... ?
Will Vingegaard bring his Tour de France ET time trial skills to the stage? How much time will Primoz concede to Remco? Will any unforeseeable factor play into the GC riders TTing?

One this is for sure: at the end of the stage, the GC will be clear enough to distinguish who are the real contenders & who are the pretenders...

Hard to see anything but a Remco win. Vingegaard is obviously not in Tour form but should still be near the op of the TT results with Roglic, Almeida and Ganna. Don't expect much from Thomas.
