as you said: nicotine is addictive. So is fame. That´s why many pros can´t go away when it´s time (Emmit Smith didn´t, Montana didn´t, many others didn´t). That might be the reason for Lance to go on. He needs the spotlight...

do we know what the docs told him? May he knows he could go any day, so he goes full out for a last hurrah...

But Montana still took Kansas City to the playoffs! That was cool even though he lost in the first round. And he was playing with a giant contusion on his throwing elbow! Doubly cool.

Some old fat jerk named Lance getting dropped in the French mountains doesn't even hold a candle to Joe Montana. I actually just threw up a little in my mouth just from using their names in the same sentence.

Bjarne Riis

Dr. Maserati said:
Wow - was Riis racing with a 60% hct last year? Impressive.

Where did I say that?

Bjarne Riis won the 1996 tour de france. Italian investigators found that his hematocrit went up to 56.3%. In reality it's very unlikely Armstrong was doping anywhere near that level last year and thus was not 'transformed'.

I'm done

I am just writing to say I am done. In this forum, there are so many haters, and Lance has always been about the good fight. I just don't believe that people can hate so much of someone who is so good, so this will be my last post ever!

If you hate Lance, then you love cancer, it is just that simple. He has done more for world poverty than any other cyclist. He has helped more people with PD than anyone else in the whole wide world. His message has personally helped me to stop smoking.

So this is my last post. Lance has just demonstrated that if you believe, you CAN achieve. I hope you all recover from your intense hate and can see the wonderful world in which we live.

Ripper ... out :(

Wrong. You can dislike Armstrong and hate Cancer!
Why anyone would think that is beyond me???

Armstrong is nothing more then a near the end professional cyclist. You want somebody that hates cancer look no further then your local hospital.
Why anyone would think Cancer Hater and Armstrong are congruent are beyond help.

.

Montana leading KC to the playoffs and losing in Round1 is mildly impressive....
The cycling equivalent would be something like winning the Nevada City Classic I would think.

Now if Montana led KC to the SuperBowl - THAT would have been truly impressive.

That is like getting onto the PODIUM at the TdF!

You forgot to mention all the work that lance has done with boneoh in the African Continent to stop the AIDS. Additionally you have to remember that he singlehandedly ended all poverty in the United States.

Don’t forget all the hard work he done on designing the yellow ball bandzz.

I think these lancie poo haters on this message board go to far.

Do you Believe in Miracles?

Nick777 said:
Armstrong went from being (pre-Ferrari) a great one day racer who couldn't climb & had shown only moderate ability in time trials, to a guy who out climbed the climbers & out time trialled the time trialists.

Clearly Dr Ferrari transformed him from a one day racer to a 3 week racer.

.

Do you believe in miracles Nick777?

Transforming a person who can't climb or TT and mold him into a 7 Time Tour de France winner is even MORE miraculous than the cancer cure.

Screw Gene Doping - Dr Ferrari has discovered the Cycling Holy Grail.

Will this "Miracle Transformation Program" work for other one-day-racers too?
Does it ONLY work for one day racers who can not climb or TT well?

Now for a Cycling Fan to believe the Myth that "Doping Transformed Lance into a 7 Time TdF winner" is one thing. Sure it can lead to crushed and broken dreams for some ex-fanboys or an obsessive dislike for Lance that leads to missionary level zeal in others - but all in all its mostly harmless.

But it is quite another thing for a talented young rider to believe that Myth.
Hopefully they are wise enough to know what it REALLY takes to become a True Champion in this day and age. Doping = Fail.

Mr. Polish, you are either a fool or simply intentionally obtuse for the sake of provocation. Either way, I find your post entertaining yet preposterous.

All Lance fans, please take note: With a character like LA's, the highs are high (TdF), and the lows are low (Cancer). People appreciate this type of character, celebrate the highs and explore the lows. However, there is always an end to the story. Will this story end with a high or a low? Will LA go back and win the TdF and, for the second time, walk off into the sunset, or will he befall a more dastardly next/final chapter, say being jammed in France, or even in a massive issue in his home country? This is what keeps folks interested. Sure, you can take a position, feel you "know" the hows and why's, and argue ad nauseum with the frequenters of this forum on such items. But you don't "know", you simply "believe". In that is the difference.

Knowing that his issue in France could be quite serious, and knowing that should the rumors of his doping practices be true, he becomes more likely to be caught the longer he is exposed to a system out to catch him, either by test or by other issue. Should it be a tragic final chapter, will you concede you were wrong? Will you reconsider your entrenched position? Admit you were guiled by the fancy pedaler form Texas? Or will you deny, proclaim conspiracy, and refuse to embrace what is, in all likelihood, coming his way?

Colm.Murphy, I do not think those are "rumours" about doping lol.
I think they are proven facts lol again.

But that said, and what I take issue with, is the Myth that the "Doping Transformed Lance into a 7 Time TdF Winner".

No, it did not. Doping can not do THAT type of transformation.

Yes, doping will make you ride faster.
Yes, doping wiil turn Donkeys into Thoroughbreds.
But no, doping will NOT transform a rider into a 7 Time TdF Winner.
It is a Myth.

Lance's doping was but ONE arrow in his Quiver of Awesomeness.
I argue that it is not the most important arrow let alone the ONLY arrow.

Too many Lazy riders use the excuse of the Myth to cut corners and try for an easier way to win. They do not train train train. They do not do ALL the other things Lance has done to become a TdF Champ. If they do ALL those things, then maybe they too can think about cheating.

If you don't weigh yer meat, you can't have any "pudding".

How can you have any "pudding" if you don't weigh yer meat?

Lance is going to be in the tour of cali this weekend. This race was ok before but since lance is involved, it became a major big deal in the bicycling world. He said that this year they will fight and beat cancer in every town they visit. I can not help it if you all have to hate on the person who has cured cancer around the globe.

Foxxybrowns I would appreciate it if you stop loving cancer. It is obvious that you have your hater aid out.

lance went out to the gulf of mexico to stop the oil well. It was important for him to do that before the “tour of cali clean”. They needed someone to stop the madness so they called him in. Considering he singlehandedly ended world hunger, and removed all the land mines around the globe.

How can i love cancer since it´s cured by Epo-Lance (and thus no more existing) around the world?

It would be funny if all of us didn´t loose or know somebody who lost a person to cancer.

So for you to know: Epo-Lance did not cure cancer around the world, but he loves cancer since it makes him rich. I think he appreciates it very much that he can $uck out all the money of naive people like you.
