Warning for Lance fans

Thanks for the thread btw... I now feel sufficiently warned and will bring my kevlar vest next time I visit.

I think we need a "Warning for Valverde Fans" too - the rumour and innuendo people spread about this great champion is ridiculous. If you look at his Wikipedia (most legitimate source on the planet) it says that he NEVER TESTED POSITIVE.

There is some sort of conspiracy between the Eyetalians, the Swiss and the Irish who are trying to get him banned because he's TOO GOOD and winning all their races.

Don't listen to all these rumours and remember that Alejandro achieved all his victories because he's a freak of nature and trains harder than everyone else.

That´s news for me. Is that confirmed (documents, affidavits or something else)? It would be nice if true. Another nail in Epo-Lances coffin...

By his former assistant Mike Anderson. Armstrong then hounded him until he had a seizure. He now lives in New Zealand to escape the groupies.

this thread has been the most entertaining thing i've read today. thanks guys (and gals?).

please make it sticky!

To be fair to him, there is nothing proven or conclusive but if one day he was found guilty I would be disappointed but not unbelieving. We have all done and do things we are not proud of - it should not be a surprise if sporting hero's are the same, but my default position remains innocent until proven guilty.

oh and it has been proven, in his urine samples of 1999

lance came back from adversity and won a bike race 7 times guys have some respect

Yes, he did. However, it's not what he has achieved ON the bike that so many of us dislike, it's how he has behaved OFF the bike that people find very distasteful. At times his poor behavior has been on the bike as well, just ask Filippo Simeoni!!

His antics have polarised many followers of the sport and cost him a lot of fans. Many posters here are ex-LA fans who have been turned off him by his behavior in the past.

I am sure most cycling fans have enough respect for that 'bike race' (and those who ride it) to call it the Tour de France.

PS....you forgot to post a picture...... let me help you.
