Am i the only one who hates the stickers on wheels. i like black wheels with a small sticker, not the huge ones that come on all the carbon stuff nowadays.

No, you're not the only one. No stickers at all preferred but also silver spokes and rims - old school. Very pretty.

Keep on thinking about peeling mine off, but I don't want them to not come off properly. A big sticker still beats half a big sticker. My stupid fork has this ridiculous branding on it too, but it's under the top layer of.. well, whatever that top layer's made of.

Thanks for the comments
BTW it weighs in at about 7.7 as you see it, pedals and cages ready to ride, all 62cm of it!

Already done
I have had these wheels for 18 months and they didn't look as bad on my old bike. I have left the small sticker at the valve on, as well as one set of "Reynolds" directly opposite, I didn't what them to look like cheap copies, especially if I want to sell them. All the tear drops are gone as they are naff
Now that Cyfac is an extremely cool bike.If I was being ultra picky I would change the saddle colour.
I am in two minds with the saddle, someone pointed out it draws your eye towards it, which is is to the detriment of the frame, too true
But the other thing is in the Flash it is a very different colour to natural light. It appears a brighter with a lot more orange

When I rocked up on this bike for the weekend bikecamping adventure, one of the boys noted with surprise that I actually own an mtb.

Notso Swift, you need to take a proper photo of that Cyfac outside in natural light, so we can see it in all it's glory.

I agree. With the fillet brazing and all it should look fantastic. A black Rolls or Regal would look good in place of the Fizik.

You're not alone - in fact both my wheels and seatpost have been nuded up (I took the stickers off my set of Ksyriums as well) :D
I can't stand how manufacturers these days think that they have to plaster their name on every square centimetre of the frame and components. Give me a discrete paint job any day.

If the makers want me to advertise their brand then they can get their cheque book out :D

Do you fill the handlebars up with vino so you can kick back and enjoy the view from time to time?

Belgian beer corks, Ommegang to be exact. My version of the Buzz Kill, I call it Buzz Thrill.

Oh, for sure I'm going to leave it unpainted. Few weeks ago I was quoted $500 for one color from Spectrum down in Co. Springs. No F-ing way I said!! At most I'll probably have some decals made up to appease my sponsors. :D

Mew, I'll meet you at Amante, hope you have a brutal ride planned so we have a chance to puke up our lattes.

Giuseppe, you must be one flexible dude. That's quite a drop to your bars.

Nice looking ride though. How do you like your Flite saddle. Is that the reissue?

I did toy with the positioning of this bike for countless hours, I am flexible, decent shape. Usually ride a 120mm -10 deg stem, this one is actually a 130 0 deg. The idea was to make it a more comfortable in the drops for long efforts when I find myself alone in these gravel and enduro races.

Used to race on the Flite when it came out in the early 90's, had three of them back then. This one is a brand new reissue. Happy with it even though I've been riding San Margo Regal since way back when.

I just bought this beauty on ebay. It is Tange prestige steel-tubing. It is nos, have never been build, and i guess it's from mid to late nineties. The frame is super light, and the craftman-ship very nice. note the small tubes for the gearcable-routing around the seatpost. On the pictures you see some small dents in the paint, these have now been repaired.

It will be build up with Campagnolo Chorus 9speed, the best drivetrain i have used, some Miche-parts and Shimano Ultegra cantilevers.

CASCARSI is the own brand of cycling shop 'De Meulenreek' in Geffen, NL.
They sponsered semi-pro teams.

I will post more pics when the build is progressing
