Tour of R'lyeh is a very difficult race.

First stage is a Negative Time Trial.

Second stage the parcours cannot be drawn on an X and Y axis graph as usual but instead needs to be on the Y and Z axes.

Third stage, the altimetry chart is a spiral.

Stage 4 is the first MTF with a descent finish.

Stage 5 is on cobbled tarmac roads through a flat mountain range rotated through 90º.

Stage 6 will exist in space but not in time, and will be scored with time bonuses in increments of -π.

The final stage has an MTF with a punishing gradient measured in factors of i.

The last two stages confiremd to me that we're all just a bunch of nerds in here:D

Stay calm. Looks like pure physicist. It's just a matter of approaching reality from his perspective;)

And this guy

And with a little help from this guy (good old Di2/bike failure)

They've been bluffing all year, luring Froome into a false sense of security, and when the moment is exactly right, they will obliterate all in their way. Schleck and Contador join forces like they did in the fogs of the Tourmalet, except this time...Froome will be the one they are united against. Froome and his Sky-train can't take the kind of hurt they will bring.

Slightly more realistic answer...no one. It's over

Among other things, yes. Besides he still has a lot to learn. Wiggo's win was based purely on that he was the No 1 TTer last year, and lack of competition.

You could say the same about Nibali's win at the Giro. Wiggins and Hesjedal pull out. Out of form Evans finishes third. No Froome, no Contador or Porte or Rodriguez or Valverde. Some people said the same thing about Wiggins last year. Can't climb has a lot to learn. Take out crashes and illness and Froome is the logical choice but as we saw in the Giro anything can happen. I think that only the pressure and an off day might defeat Froome. The team looks so good and Wiggins non appearance will only help Froome, mentally.

EBH was with the last 25 guys. Yesterday while contador pulled it, it took +5 minutes before thomas dropped. And Stennard was still there at the last climb.

They're absolutely ridiculous, one positive thing is that they don't have a froome at the end like last year in the tour to pull someone back.

Porte ain't that good but you've froome himself of course. If Contador wasn't lying about that 75% then maybe but i'm starting to doubt if even a contador at giro 2011 form would have been enough, that's bad

It ain't natural.....is it?

......and the Spaniard coalition;)

It seems likely. The Spanish colonialists against the UK/USA colonialists. The Italians will keep their options open and Tony Martin will just be confused. The Aussies will ditch Cadel and ride for Richie, the Italians will ride for Cadel until he has a bad day. Chaos will reign and Voeckler will win the Tour. The French take to the streets. Froome goes to live with Julian Assange too scared to face Wiggo's smirks and barely contained laughter.

you've misunderstood.

Roderick wasn't implying that Froome is doping, merely that Froome has a notoriously large bladder, and finds it exceedingly difficult to **** when it's not full. As such, should he have a drug test before a stage, and "because he's not expecting it" having ****ed just before, it could take several hours before he can go again.

Due to the rules that he has to be watched at all times, Froome may have to start the race a couple of hours behind, and, despite his best effort, he would then be unable to catch Contador.

Sorry, not on. It is still a reference to doping, even if a doping test. Perhaps in the future the rules can be lightened up a bit, but that is what they are now. We have to call them as we see them - and there was no context to explain - like the long story above. Even with that story, I would expect this "facet" to reach the level of "common knowledge" rather than insider knowledge, before humor on it would not cross the line.

Contador has done his homework, alliances all the way.

Do you agree with alliances and a different winner (not Froome and Contador) or alliances ought to have exceptionally overly egoistic motives??

Based on the fact that you hurried up to count even Andy like an ally, I think,yes..

Why does Froome need to be stopped? Let him race along with all the other contendors and may the best man win. Accept the eventual result, whatever it is, with grace and maturity.

Exactly, it's amazing the people who want to 'stop' Sky riders winning. There should be some very good riders coming up against Froome in July. Whoever wins would have had a perfect 3 weeks and it will be deserved. Froome is obviously a favourite however Contador, Schleck, TVG, Purito, Pinot, Rolland, Quintana and others will be a real threat and a fascinating battle awaits.

In short, people already don't even try to hide their organic enmity towards Froome. I won't be surprise if there will be 'Froome pls don't win'-like prayers come the Tour. :)

Although I totally agree with you, I don't think the poll was meant in a "Ok, so how can we stop Froome from winning?" way but more like "This guy seems to be the overwhelming favorite. What could possibly stop him from winning?"

Exactly, or that's what i think but then again red_rick is a Contador homer, so i might be wrong.
