Nothing in the post today (Saturday) but during the week we got a Playmobil shopping cyclist figurine with a basket laden step-thru bike. My two year-old pointed at the figurine and said "Mum!".

Today, two magazines. One being Procycling, the other Candis. Plus a letter from the bank selling personal accident insurance, because I want to walk under a bus and lose a leg.

I don't know I have not seen him. I'll keep my eyes out for him on Monday.

Well I caught our postman this morning as he was delivering my Tesco Clubcard points update. He is a new one, so I assume he is a scab, i'll try and speak to him tomorrow. However, I have worked out that all post received so far is not of Royal Mail origin but other carriers.

Just a practical question - since my daily mail routine consists of tossing out ads - is there a way to stop companies from sending you (un)addressed promo mail?

-Pottery Barn Kids Christmas edition catalog
-Pottery Barn Adults 'peace comfort and joy' Christmas edition catalog
-A Ronald Reagan presidential foundation envelope for the previous tenant
-An envelope for Oreck (?) for the previous tenant
-A White House/Black Market catalog, but I find the way they promote their their products too black and white for my taste
-Retirement and Health Insurance info.

Here is a link about junk mail

also, I've found that more friendly companies tend to stop sending you catalogs after you don't order stuff for awhile.

No postie today, maybe the strike is now affecting this area, or it has something to do with the court case on the temps/scabs. But I did receive a delivery of three shirts/jumpers and a sommelier gift set.

could have flogged you ours.. we never use it.. some flash **** thing that you put on the wine bottle, lift a handle and it does it all by magic..

prefer a waiters freind myself..

Well there is a short story behind the purchase of it. The 3 tops I bought on the website were going to cost £40, but if you spent £50 then you could use a voucher code for £15 off, and another for free delivery. Well I searched the whole site for something i'd use that cost exactly £10. Nothing.

So I go back over everything and remember the sommelier set was available for £10.49. Stick that in the basket add the code aand bingo! Total cost £35.49 and an even happier me.
