Tinkov, like Tapie a few decades ago, is using cycling as a platform for his own marketing. He wants the attention, and he wants fame in (and outside of) his country. He doesn't want to be another unknown rich Russian guy. But unlike the '80s Tapie, he can't help running his foul mouth and showing his ugly side. Tapie was as big a bully as Oleg is, but he was careful to protect his image. Not so much for Tinkov: he came into cycling, and quickly showed his true colors. He's arrogant, disrespectful, he's a whiner, and he has become a nuisance to the sport. He made many enemies: cycling wants him out. And since he doesn't get his way, he now wants out. But not until he destroys everything around him. Douchebag is definitely an accurate word to describe Oleg Tinkov.

Their questionable business practices (even if somehow endorsed by the Danish FSA) is another matter entirely. It's actually no wonder they would like to stick with Riis.

Take a look how things have been done the last 10 years with him, change the national law for how long a president can have the power, just so he can be in that position more and less forever, taking land from the nabor, taking investments from compagnies who where investing in the country, using a extreme amount money to OL, Formula 1 for money they dont have so the normal russian have even less to live for, bullying people to get his will and talking trash about other countries if they dont agree ( other vestern countries do the same so no glory there) and allways want the last word even if it dammage or is falty.

They look very much like each other so the difference is that Putin do the things in a bigger scale but the mind behind is the same, could be one of the reasons they at friends private and have nothing to do if he is russian or not.

There will always be different views on things and respect for that, I just say what I see and have seen over years and from that I see one man have power on a much bigger scale and the other try to do things like that just in a smaller scale, same same in my eyes and yes I have had the "pleasure" to talk with one of the men more then one time and thinking ohh my good.
