Some day clean 42 year olds will climb at the human limit and better than dopers in the past. He also had a tailwind of course, so I believe he is clean too. Time to close the thread.

You guys in the clinic must be really shattered that Horner just turned in a normal TT for a climber:
Horner loses 1:29 to Nibali, 1:17 to Nicolas Roche and 1:13 to Alejandro Valverde, who all leapfrog him in the general classification.

The bigger news is that Cancellara smoked Tony Martin to the tune of a 37s deficit.

Result:
1 Fabian Cancellara (Swi) RadioShack Leopard 0:51:00
2 Tony Martin (Ger) Omega Pharma-Quick Step 0:00:37
3 Domenico Pozzovivo (Ita) AG2R La Mondiale 0:01:24
4 Vincenzo Nibali (Ita) Astana Pro Team 0:01:25
5 Dario Cataldo (Ita) Sky Procycling 0:01:41
6 Nicolas Roche (Irl) Team Saxo-Tinkoff 0:01:48
7 Alejandro Valverde Belmonte (Spa) Movistar Team 0:01:52
8 Jerome Coppel (Fra) Cofidis, Solutions Credits 0:01:52
9 Janez Brajkovic (Slo) Astana Pro Team 0:01:53
10 Samuel Sanchez Gonzalez (Spa) Euskaltel-Euskadi 0:02:13
This was totally appropriate and not much in the doping world would change it hugely. It also doesn't mean anyone is clean or dirty for those looking for a clearcut indicator. It's also not unusual in a three week stage race that only the true specialists and the riders with GC hopes are allowed to go full effort. It's not a domestiques job to waste resources.

This is what clean cycling looks like. A rider goes off the burgers and fries, loses weight so he climbs better, but his time trial suffers from loss of absolute power. It is too bad so many other riders continue to take the fans for fools. It has fallen to Horner to show us the way.

And Hoah-noah, like LeMond before him, loves his burgers and fries.

Remember the LeMond/Taco Bell commercials?

His body couldn`t take the rest day. He aged a lot the last two days.
Or maybe he got his blood bag mixed up a la Ty Hamilton.

Expect Hog to roll in with that inside scoop in 3, 2, 1....

Today's result in the ITT does not take away the smashing/extraterrestrial/insane/out righteous result he got two days ago- Horner himself has acknowledged he has not trained a lot on his TT skills and knew in advance it wasn't going to be on his favor...

Yet , we may get another out of the saddle display of his manhood, in the coming MTF stages and let hell breaks loose once more...:D

#Giro, St.14. Jafferau (7.15km,9.02%). Santambrogio, Nibali: 6.22 W/kg
#LaVuelta, St.10. Hazallanas (7.33km,9.58%). Horner: 6.08 W/kg [DrF]

@ammattipyoraily how did the methods other than Ferrari's compare?

@captain_canaway A good question.
#Giro, Jafferau | Nibali (64.0 kg): 6.38 W/kg.
#LaVuelta, Hazallanas | Horner (63.5 kg): 6.27 W/kg.

Pretty sure I detect sarcasm there, but maybe if you substitute "cleaner" for clean it's closer to the mark. Horner has always done this sort of thing, he's just a better climber than a rouleur, and a better rouleur than a time trialer.

Edit: Not suggesting he's not doping, I still think most are still doing everything they can get away with.

Levi said "The 2011 cycling season was very difficult as I exprienced a great deal of animosity from teammates and staff on the radioshack team"

"For instance [other-3] was very aggresive towards me. When I would walk by him he would make comments like 'I never forget, one day I will pay bck'"

Is other-3 still on the staff?

I am sure Levi will know whether Horner is doping or not.
Horner was one of the redacted names in the USADA stuff. He took EPO in 2005 before the Tour of Switzerland.

So the knee injury earlier this year was just a cover-story for his 6-month suspension. Ok.

No - I would assume that since the name of *Rider 15* was redacted, he has yet to get their day in front of USADA.

To be fair, they will need more than just the testimony but if I was Horner I would quickly cash any cheques he is getting from RS or the prize money he will get for the Vuelta.

If he had received a suspension it would be on USA Cycling website along with the others, I'm pretty sure that keeping that a secret is not one of the options USADA offers.
Probably an oversight on USADA's part. If his was a redacted name then obviously they have the goods on him.

Redacted name = proof positive. They just forgot to rope him in with Christian, Dave, Tommy and Georgie.

lol. So that's why he's stated he wants to ride for two more years instead of pulling a Hincapie and retiring just before everything blows up. Oh and he was also named to the Olympic team last year. Probably another oversight on USADA's part.

I don't think Travis would just keep his mouth shut if there were something to say re: Horner.

Could be wrong tho...

Thats what USADA did regarding Hincapie and the Garmin guys. They waited until after they had started proceedings against LA & the others.

The redacted names are either people that have refused to co-operate and who will eventually be heard during the Bruyneel case, or people that there is little or no corroborating evidence against.

any evidence of that?
Levi's testimony:

74. In 2008 Rider 15 [Chris Horner, red.] told me that he was using EPO during his recovery from an injury in 2005 before the Tour of Switzerland.
Given that Chris' name match perfectly in length, and that he was a team mate of Levi in 2008, injured early in 2005 and won a stage in Suisse, I'm quite sure it's him.
