a missed test that would be pretty huge if true and certainly a nail for the doubters to hammer into him. But was he not tested last night as part of being overall winner?
He might have thought that, since he was tested yesterday, he was safe today to start his "preparation" for worlds.

Spanish anti-doping was sent out by USADA to test Horner this morning. Horner was nowhere to be seen. They've apparently checked two hotels.

If I ever won a grand tour, I'm not sure anyone would be able to find ME the next morning.

There is something funny going on here, considering he would have been tested after the last stage

horner probably went partying anyway, it's not strange they cannot find him in his hotel.
They better start checking gutters, rooftops and elevators

So they found another rider in what was supposed to be his room, huh? The victory celebrations got pretty wild by the looks of it.

Radioshack: "[the testers] came to the team hotel, Horner was not there, he was in the hotel where his wife was staying."

Radioshack also say hotel change is mentioned in whereabouts form #Horner

Pretty scummy to go to the press screaming "Horner is missing" even though it looks like it will not even go down as an official miss. That said I guess he deserves a bit more infamy. I just wish Liggett was commentating somewhere today so could lose it.

I especially liked the headline: "Did Horner FLEE FROM A TEST? (Small print: Probably not)"

Note that the original source says USADA checked two hotels. The other one must have been the one with his wife, no?

Don't cyclists have mobile phones? Nor team managers and DSIs? Wouldn't it save a lot of trouble?
