Vacansoliel (sp?), classicss and he'd be out right leader. He's not a GC rider so maybe time to hit the beaches come July?

Euskaltel-Euskadi.

He might have to change his name to Kantxelara, but it's a small price to pay for undisputed Classics leadership.

This one's pure gold !!!

^^that please some1 make that happen :p

just imagine the carrot train with such amazing cobbles riders as samuel sanchez, igor anton, mike snow and gorka verdugo leading the peloton into the arenberg forest.

Imagine them riding a team time trial, all the carrots on the wheel of the master.

Okay, that's pretty similar to a team time trial with the Schlecks.

I think Cancellara if he moved would go to SBS. However RSNT were seeming strong at some of the cobbled races this year.
Katusha would be a good pick ( good TTT squad- attacking options for both Cobbled/ Ardennes ).

However due to National pride i would for Cancellara choose GE. Besides my personal preference they have a strong team and solid domestiques. Gerrans, Goss and Langveld would each be superdomestiques ( admittedly in different races ). I would love for one year Cancellara going solo on the descent- getting reeled in and Goss winning the sprint ( Nibali could take note ).

Nah, it'd be more like Kantxelara leading the team through the Carrefour, then the whole team, but him, falling off their bikes and blocking the way.

Easy win for Fabian! :D

His team at RSN is not the best but it is better than what he would get at Saxo. Also I'm not sure if him and Riis have resolved their differences or not, there was a lot of bad blood after the breakup. At the time Riis said Cancellara was only going to get worse anyways so good riddance. Also a big reason why he left Saxo was Contador, so if he signs again with Saxo after his suspension I can't see how Cancellara would go back there.

I could see him go to BMC after his contract with Leopard ends, get the most CHF out of his last years

Fabs apologised to Riis at the end of 2011. When the Leopard changed its spots he started looking at options. He phoned Riis apologised for the Vuelta exit and they strarted to talk about a reunion. Enter Hog & his empty promises and we have what we have today - nothing.

I bet you a million dollars that Riis visited Cancellara in hospital and Hog didn't.

When Cancellera left Saxo he hinted it was because he left because of Contador. He said something to the effect because of the new additions to the team I have decided to leave. Strongly suggesting he would not want o be on the same team as Contador. As long as Contador is on Saxo I would guess Saxo would be the last team Cancellera would race for.

...and being with the Shlecks is better because?

Watching him drag Andy in a TTT is painful. At least if he was on a tour team with Contador, Contador would take a turn.

Sky has always shown deep interest in him-and I think he should consider seriously his options outside the Schleck babysitting camp...Riis & Saxo would welcome him in an instant, regardless of what took place during the departure-but Fabian is aware of the current setup & he could rightfully ask for more men power to help him....

Too crazy to think he might consider LIQUIGAS as an option?.........just saying........

I doubt it ( they already focus on sprints, have an ok Classics team- Sagan just needs a road captain and they go well in GT's ). No real room to fit him in ( they shall have to fork out lots of money just to keep Sagan/ others ).

as much as i love liqui i don't think they want cancellara, he would demand a high salary which would prolly force them to drop some of their top domestiques also with basso getting closer and closer to retiring i think they are planing on offering sagan and nibali (and maybe even viviani depending on his progress) the money to stay and build an entire team built around those guys for the important races

He is friends with them? Just because the Schlecks talk dumb to the media and are hated by the majority of passionate cycling fans doesn't mean Fabian can't like them. Why else would Fabian kill himself TDF after TDF to try and help Andy win, if he were on other teams he could be going for stage wins but he wants to help them win the Tour.

It feels like something Schleck brothers made him say.

Then he didn't leave because of Berto but because of his friendship with Schleck.

Clearly QS have by far and away the best classics team, but that's because they have the one ingredient that Sky do not have: a fast classics finisher.

Sky would be the perfect fit with Fab, from a tactical point of view.

They have probably the only classics team that can all ride together on the front for long distances, while keeping the pace high enough to prevent other teams from coming round them.

That is the perfect platform for the 'one-man off the front' tactics which have worked best for Fab over the years.

It's difficult to imagine cancellara going to liquigas but perhaps sagan could go to cancellara's
team. After seeing last year vuelta and their successful cooperation - wagner, cancellara, bennati leading sagan for the win I think that could work well. Also milan - san remo could have been different were they in the same team.
