Wow, I made it to the summary, which is a success itself.

But the big scandal is coming and not too hard to see.

Ferminal, a race official, taking opponents out of the race for strange reasons and then racing himself.

Look at that, I lost and came 4th at best (at worst, the bunch swallowed me), but I totally made the race. Worship me.

You got swallowed alright... Came in 44th. But nevertheless, great race. ;)

Ok this really needs to be moved to the cafe section where more people can read it.

Most other threads of this sort appear in the forums that are actually read, be it prr, general or clinic, why is this being kept in a shed that only a handful of posters even know exists.

What, you mean the Rebellin avatar? How- why- WHAT?

Is that you, jens?

The Rebbelin avatar was a joke, the bit i was mainly talking about was your first avatar which as i recall, though i had no idea what it was, resembled some sort of oriental deity.

Massive +1.

This thread still being in the "about the forum" section is starting to look an awful lot like stubbornness from the mods. It's clearly café material and deserves a greater audience.

All credit goes to Timmy for his idea. I only had some fun using it.

But my personal opinion is that this thread already belonged in the café before he did that legendary post.

Other people have raised this issue before as well.

I've been unable to ride the entirety of the year with a troubling disease known as universitis. Hopefully i can put in some good results and earn a spot on the american team helping thirteen defend her title next year :p

...Those are three that stand out, whose posts I will always stop to read. Other posters I like are LuckyBoy, Alpe, Hitch, and dim; all are quality posters.
You have both an Admin and Mod on your list. You're either really honest, or trying to lay some Karma pavement. ;)

Seriously, when this place started I was a regular user and life was good, I was one of the popular kids. Everyone loved me. Then, I became a mod, then an admin. It was like going from the president of the frat house, to a hall monitor. ;)

Wasn't going to do a 2nd stage, but I figured I'd try it again.

Tour of CN
Stage 2.

From Moderators thread to websites errors thread (in the feedback region) the stage is 158km long.
Three categorized climbs.

stage2_cn.jpg

Stage Description:
A fairly straight forward stage with a few not-so-difficult climbs blocking the way. It is difficult to know if the sprinters will get dropped here, it could depend on the pace of the race.

Media Outlook:
In overnight news, despite team boomerang winning the first stage and taking the leader’s jersey (Craig), team leader ACF ranted at the biased coverage. He complained that the race was focusing on certain riders in an attempt to flatter and gain the trust of a select bunch. The many fans and opponents simply lol’d at this, unsurprised by the flamboyant rider.

The Race:
Once again Jens attacks went on the attack the moment the race started, this time being joined by thirteen, RedheadDane, Tuarts and the Belgian veteran L'arriviste. There was little concern in the pack, none of these men were men for the GC (despite Tuarts being a pretty decent climber) and the break quickly got a 5 minute lead. The group was together with just 200 metres to the fist climb when finally jens attacks launched an attack, Tuarts seemed not too concerned with the points while thirteen was the only one able to match the acceleration, but still jens was too strong and took maximum points (5) on the first climb. Unsurprisingly he continued the hard tempo and him and thirteen quickly got a big gap on the 3 chasers.

Meanwhile back in the pack the relaxed tempo could be seen, Youngest (the co-leader of the Mafioso) was seen chatting with Boomcie, one of the dark horses for the overall. Hrotha, Mellow Velo and Thoughtforfood, two of the many GC contendors from Team America were seen sharing a joke, while ryo was at the back of the peloton with a look of pure anger. Ryo of course was an amazing talent, unfortunately he was also the ‘thug of the peloton’ he appeared to treat his peers and rivals with total disrespect and would often criticize them in the public eye, despite being from the Mafioso’s homeland he resented them and rode with the south Americans asif he was one of them.
Back at the front thirteen and jens were reaching the summit of the second climb, again they battled it out for the 3 points, this time however thirteen was too good for jens and had effectively even the score. The two now had 2 minutes on the chasers and 6 minutes on the main pack.

Approaching the third and final climb the peloton started to ride furiously; again thirteen went over the top first of the final climb after jens went on a maniac attack 10 km from the summit and effectively blew himself up. Jens had cracked and along with the other members of the group had been caught before the summit. Meanwhile thirteen held onto a 2.10 lead over the top. But the peloton were flying and halved in size over the final climb, big name sprinters such as libertine, dim, barrus, waterloo surprise, roundabout had all been dropped; craig the leader of the race had also been dropped. With just 15km remaining finally thirteen had been caught.

At 12 km to go just some guy, a big engine rider attacked with a tail wind, he was flying and had seemingly caught the peloton napping after the catch of thirteen.
He quickly got a 20 second lead and went all or nothing. The pack soon got organized and rode hard to make the catch; Again el pickle was seen heading butting opponents in the pack as the pressure increased, while Bavarian rider, a fantastic tt’r with high gc ambitions was struggling to make it over the speed bump @8km to go, he had cracked and big time. The reality of the situation was that he simply couldn't climb very well, convincing him of this was like trying to put a truck in a small garage; many riders could be seen with smiles on their face at this, in particular DT was seen with a smug look, very outspoken in regards to his German rival, but DT was outspoken in regards to basically everything.

Finally just-some-guy go flew under the final km barrier with the peloton storming behind just 7 seconds, unfortunately for him the final 600m were straight and the likelihood of surviving was small. He rounded the final corner and soon after the peloton swept him up, the gallop for the line was intense with all round rider ingsve storming towards the line for his Scandinavian team, but it wasn’t to be, out of ingsve slip stream zamasailo – not renowned sprinter, but a punchy rider – came flying, the young rider flew past the Norwegian champ and stormed to the biggest victory of his life, taking the purple and white (under 1000 posts) jerseys in the process.
