I guess the point against him is that he is almost 39 years old and still quite good. Hes no gc contender but still does well in time trials and such. Would a 39 year old be this good in the pre doping era? Then again if jens voigt is doping, then that would suggest that absolutely everyone is doing it and i dont think he would be doing it too much.

About that, how would you guys explain the general trend of more riders being in top form past their mid 30s? Back in the day, you'd be considered old at 30-31, and you wouldn't be in your prime for long after that. Now you have an entire team dedicated solely to work as an old people's motorhome.
Why do you think that is?
- More doping. Riders are more juiced so they conserve their form longer.
- Less doping, thus less damage to the riders' bodies and longer careers.
- Just better training methods, better diets, less racing and possibly more rational doping.
