why did you have to break such a nice combo of damiano love :(

on a serious note, he looks the best we have seen him in years i honestly think he would have won AGR if not for that silly crash, he was perfectly positioned on phil's wheel and looked pretty comfortable following his pace. so if there is a year for him to win liege, this is it!!!

Gloin thinks the same about Nordhaug and i am convinced Samu could have won if not for the flat.

Funny how we all argue that our guy could have won if not for misfortune.l

I still think this is Gilberts.

1. He will probably be better than in FW again. (See Brabantse Pijl 'till now.)

2. He has a bigger engine than most of the other contenders (if not all.)

3. It's rainy

4. Home ground, last chance to win something now,etc...

Voted Cunego.

It's Damiano or Fränk depending what kind of script there will be.

Gilbert will be on the podium but no win for him.

yes, he will be. According to their official website it'll be:

Giovanni BERNAUDEAU
Franck BOUYER
Anthony CHARTEAU
Cyril GAUTIER
Vincent JEROME
Christophe Kern
Pierre ROLLAND
Thomas VOECKLER

Edit: I voted for Dami btw

if the schlecks go on roche aux faucons with the same supersonic speed as in the last years,no one will follow this time.bruynee's plans suggest something else anyway

I think Gilbert will win this, perfect race for him.
Cunego will come 2nd i think.
The Shlecks will attack but be reeled in somewhere.
Albasini to come 3rd leading home Samu and Vanendert, Nibali and Kreuziger/ all. JROD i do not think will be able to get away/ Valverdes' form is not great.

What I expect is the race to be controlled until about 20km to go (negative racing being the order of the year), Shlecks to go, everyone expect it and jump on them, and then watch BMC and Katusha control the race until the finish for Rodriguez to win.

What I'd like is to see some positive attacking rides from anyone, the climbs being a little longer than Amstel it really lends itself to attacking, riders gaining 30 seconds to be brought back just in time for the next col and repeat. In my dream world Van Avermaet gets his reward for being in the form of his life and thus far being faithful domestique to Gilbert and Ballan and slips away while everyone watches Gilbert.

Head Rodriguez
Heart GVA, closely followed by all the really strong riders who won't really be marked like Albasini or Iglinsky to name one or two.

I fear people like Cunego and Kreuziger are wasting too many energies in Trentino...the winner will be someone coming out of AGR and FW...really impredictable this year tho

Winner 2010 Giro del Trentino - Alexander Vinokourov

Cunego's win in Trentino will give him confidence going into Liege, he has a good chance of winning or at least getting on the podium.

Yes, but this years Trentino seems by far the most difficult edition there has been in quite some time so perhaps it might have taken a little more out of the riders than usual.

Wtf Sanchez with other. You mad.

Personally i would have Samu 3rd or 4th behind Gilbert - huge favourite, and maybe Vandendert or Cunego.

Edit I see you put Nibali, Voeckler and Mollema ahead of Sanchez.

You trolling?

Yes that was odd but I don't consider him a massive favourite and I would have Nibali and Mollema ahead of him. Show some objectivity.

I don't really agree. Sanchez is imo made for these kind of races.
It's a shame he doesn't race L-B-L that often.
Mollema and Nibali will probably be up there, allthough Nibali hasn't really shown his face yet, but L-B-L suits him most of the 3 Ardennes races.

Ofcourse The Hitch jumps on everyone that doesn't rate Sanchez very high as well :D

Just like many others do when their favourite rider doesn't get the recognition they think he/she should get.

Massive favourite refers to Gilbert not Sanchez

an wtf. saying sanchez has a better chance than mollema and nibali is not being objective. did you hit your head or something?

Who is the better hilly classics rider ?

I would suggest its the guy with 2 lombardy podiums a fw podium gp mig win 4th in hilly worlds and and victory in the one hilly one dayer every rider wanted to win.

What do nibali and mollema have that added together compares to this?

I would say Sanchez has proven himself to be a better hilly rider.

Though of course im not being objective.

Question 2 who has been by the better rider this season? I would say its Sanchez.

Though of course im not being objective.

so could.someone else please tell me who has been the better rider this season as i.am not objective enough to make a rational decision on that.

Maybe you should stop accusing everybody all the time of being fanboys. You seem obsessed with proving that everyone else is as narrow minded in their support of riders as you. unlike you some of us are actually capable of being objective.

If you seriously think that one needs massive bias to come to the conclusion that Sanchez has a better chance than mollema and nibali then you are totaly deluded.
