The silence from Brailsford is deafening. A coward.

he knows the clinic and twitter too well. he´ll be slaughtered about anything he´ll say. so better shut up

Or another perspective is that if he has nothing to hide he could quieten Twitter down by setting the story straight. The problem is that when you keep telling lies sooner or later it will catch up with you. Now he is unable to face the music.

Walsh told us that he tried to contact Freeman but he refused to return his calls. Given that he has unlimited access to Sky did he do likewise with Brailsford as I've yet to read the full article?

It's also PR 101 to shut the hell up as anything he says risks fueling the fire.

But if journalists are doing their job properly they will at least try to get him to air his comments. My point is that Walsh made public Freeman's refusal to return his calls. Did he try contacting Brailsford, and if he also refused to comment then why not report that also. I can't imagine that he wouldn't seek to speak to the DS of the team that he has unlimited access to.

If you read Walsh's article, it is who he left out of the article that points to Walsh still covering for Sky. Freeman no longer works for Sky, but works for British Cycling, who Brailsford no longer works for and Sky have dropped their sponsorship of. Why doesn't Walsh contact those who left Sky under ZTP? Why does he point the finger at Freeman and not Leinders. Walsh still works for Murdoch(sky)....

I think the un-returned call/text is overdone. I haven't read the article, but I've heard a verbal summary on the radio, & according to that; Freeman told Walsh, that he couldn't comment on the private medical matters of a patient; after that he didn't respond to Walsh.

Now while I would like to know more, as a cylcing fan; as a patient, I would expect, exactly that response from my Doctor, to anyone asking questions !

If a journalist is looking for answers, they can only ask Wiggins himself, no one else is allowed to comment !!!

Greg Lemond was laughed at by some of his colleagues for not being serious with his diet, eating too many burgers and icecream. (In fact he couldn't believe he had iron definciency in 1989 because he'd been eating so much red meat)
He subsequently crushed those joking colleagues at the 89 and 90 TdF.
Goes to show in the end it's all about the nutrition.
Not.

I'm a little thick. Are you inferring something here?

Help me out.

it's all about lemond..no, really... :)

Gonna make a wild guess Brailsford doesn't give a toss about the clinic and is quite possibly unaware of its existence.

I've not seen Walsh mention anywhere that he attempted to contact Brailsford... Make of that what you will.

Swart is on BBC speaking about Wiggos TUEs.
Good times :)

Have to laugh at poor old Wiggo. They flattened the Tour course in 2012, gave him plenty of TT miles in the race and a team to TTT him around France for 3 weeks along with doping him & his team. He has to be the softest winner in history (not that he is the rightful winner any longer).

If journalists were doing their jobs then they would be asking pointed questions revolving around how corticosteroid use out of competition is legal if it is for legitimate medical use but use for illegitimate uses is doping and weight loss is not a legitimate use. They might even try mentioning that in an article or two.

Who's the rightful winner then? Froome? Nibali?

No, he's a confirmed Mertens client. After him it's Van Garderen, Zubeldia, Evans, Rolland, Brajkovic and Pinot.

Hmmm, this isn't easy. Maybe Thibaut Pinot. If not him, Chris Anker Sorenson or Maxime Monfort?

Sad thing is, I wish I was joking :(

Sauce.

Questions that still remain unanswered include the following:
1) Brailsford - did he sign off on the TUE before each of the 3 grand tour's? As DS it would not be credible to claim no knowledge of them. How then does that fit in with his previous comments about not being a half cheat or not cheating on a Monday etc etc
2) How does this fit into the team's no needle policy?
3) Which meidcal staff within the team give the approval for the TUE?
4) Given previous comments from Steve Peters about pulling riders out of the race rather than applying for TUE's how does the Wiggin's decision stack up?

1) Cookson - will there be a change in policy from the UCI regarding TUEs following the Wiggins revelations?
2) As leader of the governing body, how can we be sure that this blatant misuse of TUE applications are still not taking place?

1) Froome - Given the comments of Jaschke and David Millar and the obvious advantage that the steroid use give to Wiggins (approx 15 watts) how does it make you feel knowing that you were potentially deprived of a tour victory by the TUE granted to Wiggins?

1) Walsh - have you tried contacting Brailsford for his comments on the Wiggins TUE's? If not why not? If he did and got no response then why not report it similar to the way he reported Freeman's failure to take or return his calls?

I'm sure there are more but this story will run and run while the vacuum exists. Sky's PR department have been misfiring over the last few days.

Absolute outrage this morning from the cyclists who may have been cheated by the abuse of TUEs... Hang on - my mistake, there isn't any.

Even Saint Millar has joined the kick Wiggo party. I'm surprised by the lack of support and most people turning on him. Appears he wasn't very well liked.

What's that old showbiz saying something like, "Be nice to people on your way up because you'll meet them on your way down." Maybe Wiggins wasn't so nice on his way up. Not seen any former teammate/back room from BC/Sky/Cofidis/FDJ etc stand up for him.
