He ain't getting busted. The idea that these big fish eventually get caught is wrong headed. I hear this refrain from the LeMond people: he would've been caught by now.

Fact is, almost nobody gets caught. The only reason Armstrong went down was because he was a blackhearted pig. It's unimaginable now, but think how different the doping landscape would be if Armstrong had just let Landis ride the Tour a California.

Think of all the riders who would've been regarded by the general cycling public as clean. Hincapie? JV? Leipheimer... the list goes on.

Armstrong gift wrapped his ass and handed to Landis who handed to the DoJ who handed it to USADA.

It's a joke. No one gets caught unless they're stupid.

Wiggins may be a douche but he's not going to pull any of the stunts Armstrong pulled. He ain't that stupid.

Actually Wiggins is dumb. While Floyd and JV were discussing Wiggins, JV discounted the idea of Wiggins doping by saying, "You don't understand, Floyd, he is too stupid to dope, He is like a child."

Helmut Floyd is still vehement that he did not use testo during the Tour.

so, what is your theory?

I actually believe this version by Floyd, I dont believe Floyd, but I think this version is truth, so what was it?

Was there enough testo metabolites in the blood bags. Or, my theory... my theory is that his dodgey swannie, the Belgian Freddy Viaene was using a testo solution with his massage cream/oil, he was mixing the massage oils with some testo.

oh, I forgot, I cant speculate on this board, we must believe Brailsford and Lance and everything they say

Floyd says the B-sample results don't make sense. They had him positive on the last stage (procession stage) and negative on the penutlimate stage (ITT), so that doesn't make sense right there. But the CIR test can detect metabolites for more than a week when testosterone is being used regularly. There should not be a series of negatives and positives like that if test was being used throughout the Tour. I also asked whether testosterone could have been used in some other product he was using, like HGH, so he was being given testosterone unbeknownst to himself. He did not think that was likely.

yeah the carbon isotope testing had his samples from other stages come up positive for exogenous tesosterone too, or whatever that C12/C13 test deduced, the plant v animal sourcing...

I still like my theory on Freddy Viaene slipping him a micky in the massage oil

Love JV logic at work. Cyclists are either too stupid or too cool to dope.

And the doping angle is....?

Why believe anything Wiggins says. So when he says he is clean, why believe him?

The link shows more of Wiggins character. Doping is an integral part of the sport. Wiggins was a major winner in the sport.

If it has to be spelt out for some so be it. Allowances can be made for all levels of ability.

So it has nothing to do with doping. As pastronef said, this is more apt for a thread in the PRR, but to satisfy a need a controversy, lets post it here and twist it to suit a narrative.

Just more evidence (if more was even needed), that it's not actually about anti-doping for some, it's scandal lovers looking for a story and a never-ending need to discuss it

do you ever read any of Oldcrank's pro-BC/Cookson/Sky propaganda and wonder "what's the doping angle?"

My friend, the moderator known as IronDan has actually removed
a post of mine from the Road Race Forum because there wasn't a
doping angle! True story! I still have the PM to prove it. :)

Of course I won't reveal it (unless subpeonaed) because that
would be against forum rules. ;)

(EDIT: I think I now know who has been reporting my posts, sniper :) )

Why always the doping view of everything?

maybe because you posted the link here in the clinic, while the link´s topic has nothing to do with the Clinic? there should be a Wiggins thread somewhere in the pro road pages

It was an ode to the infamous Gooner post about Radcliffe; "Why the doping view of everything" he said. "She's been vehemently anti-doping, even offering to show her blood data" he added.

Some are very easily lead...

And it's an apt comment for that link. Thanks.

Do you think the link has anything to do with doping?

Probably has more to do with gullibility than doping.

I know. I probably should have a doping only view, safe in the knowledge I would never be proved wrong.

That position is a cop out.

Again, what has the link got to do with doping?

It seems a fascination lately to draw up posts from me which have nothing to do with the topic of the threads.

Lets keep it on topic.

I think we all know a gentle tease is fairplay, but when it happens over and over it becomes something more. We (mods) really don't want teasing becoming anything more than a frindly ribbing, which means that when someone complains about being teased it's time to stop teasing them.

Sir Sideburns is more full of Hennessey's than anything else.

Meanwhile, who else thinks Cav looks like Tom Waits?

15 rounds and a 30/06.
