Wiggins given protected rider status in case Froome crashes.

Or claims he's now a cobbles specialist and goes off 'stage hunting' and accidentally gets a GC lead when all the favourites get stuck behind a Franck Schleck special.

Thomas & Stannard should be plenty of support for Froome anyway, but lets be honest, I'm guessing all 8 team-mates will be on strict details that day.

The same team orders that Froome was following up that mountain in the 2012 TdF?

You only break team orders when you know you're good enough.

It would just be pathetic and embarrassing for Wiggins to try and backstab, get frozen out by the team and finish 17th or something crap whilst Froome wins anyway.

indeed. I was just thinking the same. This anorexic obsession of sky, might take its tool. I read Froome's google info, he is supposedly 71 kg, so does he have to loose 10kg to get to 61kg? No wonder you get sick easily..

On the other hand, wiggins has been flying quietly away from sickness, crashes and set backs. And he rides with his weight :). If he continues this trend, we got some dilemma again at sky...

Looks like Bradley's proving to be quite a hit in the USA, and he seems to be saying all the right things as well.
His new PR agency paying dividends.

Good to see women in the colonies showing Sir Brad
the respect that he is due by curtsying to him.

I'd like to think so, he's got a good track record with stated objectives, barring the Giro 2013 of course.

The 20km ITT will give him time on Tejay. If he can lose less than half a minute on Tejay on the climbs he should be in good position

He finished Trentino with some solid performance, but is he gonna go for the GC? After his spring campaign I would suspect him to take easy for some time.

When he was trying to convince people this wasn't just a paid holiday year, he quoted Roubaix and California as his targets.
