Hopefully Contador's performance should stir Bradley up for a good performance in the TdS.

Well he should be. I remembered reading wiggins said something about he will be in the tdf squad only if Froome crash or sick. he got his wish, didn't he? Froome took a tumble on stage 6?

Anybody else seen the source for JRanton's report about Wiggins only targeting the time trial and team riding for Henao on GC?

No official source. Wait and see. Wiggins will help position Henao at the bottom of climbs like he did for other riders earlier in the season when he was above his GC weight.

Yeah, it's pretty simple really. If you had any ambition of winning Tour de Suisse then you wouldn't be training in a velodrome practising very short efforts a week before the race!

it is actually a good time to capitalize CF's massive failure in Dauphine, what is going on with W? He looks in pretty decent shape in ToC? What is wrong with SKY's race training and planning?

His focus is solely on the Commonwealth games (track). He gave up on a Tour place ages ago.

Froome won two stages and led the Dauphine for six stages before crashing. It was hardly a massive failure.

Sad to see. Why not do the Vuelta?

If he cannot follow Sagan in the hilly course of stage 3, how can he be even considered for the TDF. Sky now has a perfect excuse. The other GT winners like Contador, Cadel, Nibali almost never give up even when the cards are down. For Wiggins to succeed however, it seems all the stars must align perfectly:rolleyes:. He could have made a statement by at least being competitive in Suisse.

Wiggins was never gonna be a serious GC option for le tour. If he did ride it would just be as a super-rouleur domestique, but they decided he wouldn't fit in to that role. Being able to stay with tour of cali climbers up long drags is not comparable to sticking with Contador, purito, nibali etc in the Alps

He could do the Vuelta and use it as preparation for the Worlds, but he could never do the Vuelta now and go for GC.
