He never competed at Ardennes at full level I think. Wiggins already showed good signs on those steep hills at Paris Nice - Mende where he rode very well.

And wiggins would ride cobbled classics more likely than Ardennes imo.

However, Froome should go next year there :D

Wiggo has tried and failed at Paris-Roubaix.

Bradley has been like a machine this le tour. Decimated Cadel and reeled in every single attack the so called "Shark of the Strait" Nibali. That metronomic cadence of his simply destroys anybody whom tries to ride away from him.

He's took full advantage of a course suited to him, it's a real shame nobody has been able to give him (and us a race). An inform Contador would certainly have attacked him in dramatic fashion but given he's currently banned for cheating that really is a moot issue. It would have been nice to has Andy Schleck there too attacking in the mountains but given the time trailing in this years tour it wouldn't have been worth his effort.

This may be the only time Wiggins wins a Grand Tour but nobody can deny he's been exceptional in winning it.

I can deny it...he's been Exceptionally Boring :D Only Nibali keeps me awake while Brad gets hauled up mountains, across flats and rolling terrain like a limpet.... Granted the man can ITT but then that is boring also :)

Brad has the panache of a wet noodle :(

I expect Wiggo is a bit bored too, not taken out of his comfort zone once in three weeks. Amazingly, if he doesn't lose time tomorrow, he would have won this without even having to include the prologue and two time trials.

I see Wiggo's upcoming tour win similar to Indurain's. (Snoozefest) Follow the wheels on the climbs, and kill it in the TT's. Boring yes, but it is has proven to be a winning formula.

I don't think we've seen what he's truly made of physically. He may be a one hit wonder like Sastre or go on for another 2 more tour wins ?

I would really like to see how he can defend or attack to make up time, when he has no team mates ? That scenario is yet to present itself.

Well if he's bored why doesn't he put his nose in the wind and show them who's boss? That I would Respect!!!

I agree, he could clearly have left Froome and Nibali behind today, the trouble was it was less than 500 metres to the summit and he would have been caught again on the descent. He probably just can't be bothered.

Froome did that, not Wiggins.

Who is this "us" that you're referring to?? Are you one of the Sky Tour team posting here anonymously? Otherwise you can't take credit for no one giving you a race.

This Tour has been ideal for Sky and Wiggins and they had the horses to take full advantage of it. Congrats! I can't say that I ever found myself rooting for him though. More so for Nibali. Unfortunate that Froome lost that time earlier in the race otherwise I can't help but think that there may have been a bit of a youthful rebellion taking place and that would've really made the Tour interesting. Unfortunately for us fans all the luck has been on Wiggins side this year.

I mean us as in we the fans - we've not see a true race. Pull your head out of your *** and try reading posts in context.

Yes because that's such an easy thing to say when you are sitting behind a computer screen.

That's exactly what he did this afternoon when Froome couldn't bridge to Nibali on the second attack.

Why take any risks attacking when he's got this sealed good and proper, see what good that did to Bernie in 1986 when he had a 5 minute lead on Lemond...Still I'm thinking he'll make everyone happy tomorrow afternoon when he rides everyone off his wheel in the last km of the last climb.

No he followed Nibali.....only time he's been on the front was when he led out EBH. He may Win but Champions show their strength even when it's 'sealed good and proper', not just follow others :)

If he drops them all tomorrow I'll be happy, he will have shown himself the strongest not just the best ITTer who got escorted around by the Strongest Team.

I'm bored, Wiggins is a yob in front of the press, yes, it would be nice if he would attack but that would be so gratuitous now, and this Tour route was tailored as much for Cadel Evans as it was for Wiggins.

In Wiggins' favor, he speaks well of his opponents, he's grateful to his team, and if there's any team dirty laundry, he keeps it private and professional. That's more than I can say for one past Tour champion. Good on Wiggo. He worked hard to be here.

I agree to some extent, but to be fair, Wiggins has gained a total of 2.18 on Nibali in the prologue and TT, and currently has a 2.23 lead. He took the last 5 seconds on an uphill finish.
