No none of them would make a particularly great movie other than the pantani movie because he is actually dead- tragedy element, and because he was so adored.

Achieved more than wiggins too.

Frank Vandenbroucke would make an excellent movie as well.

Pipe down.

Wiggo is a class act and never had the advantage of an early career in road cycling, 6 olympic medals, TDF, interesting back story and a decent bloke.

Jealousy of British cycling.

A Lance movie that told the true story from early 90s to 2012 could be excellent. A Wiggins movie... I can't really see it.

decent

There are so many more cyclists I'd rather see a movie on than Wiggins. Evans, Cancellara, Boonen, Contador, Rodriguez, Valverde, the list goes on and on.

Besides for it to be a good cycling movie there needs to be a scene with the director yelling "Go! Go! Go!" in the car as the cyclist attacks in the mountain.

Haters gonna hate, that's what really dull here! Grow up guys and we'll see what your favorite rider doesin the next TDF! Wiggins is an interesting character and the man of the moment, get over it.

Get over what? People on here don't think a movie on Wiggins would be a very good movie. You can't deny Wiggins is not the most exciting rider.

That movie is not a documentary about bike racing obviously...maybe you should drive down there to Hollywood to warn them they're making a huge mistake? Point is, whatever Wiggins does or doesn't do he gets trashed by the haters, says more about them than him obviously.

The story isn't over yet. The final scenes will be when
he returns to to his birth place of Gent and wins this
years 6-day which starts on his late fathers 60th birthday.
It will be epic, as long as a British, Aussie, or European
and NOT a Hollywood company do the film.

Im really regretting that Lance went down. Cancer and then 7 tdfs is a much better story.

Lance's heart was also 3 times bigger than a normal human and anyone who trained as much as him would get crippling knee damage. Oh and if you don't do 6 hours on Xmas day you can't win the Tour. Oh and his body didn't produce any lactate. Oh and high cadence was the secret. Yeah, there's a movie in that.

I'm not sure if they fit in to the hollywood movie criteria, aka initial success, get depressed and become an alcoholic, then success again. All movies from Hollywood are based on that kind of storyline.

Also, getting caught for doping wouldn't quite work as a "sad" part as one is supposed to feel sorry for the main character :p

Sounds a lot like the documentary Sky did on wiggins.

The guy has not had a straight forward upbringing, he was brought up on a council estate by a single mother, it'll be an interesting story. He's witty and and has a dry humour, they will play on that in the film and people like him for it.

Also

Why do so many people have a go at him for not attacking in the mountains? Its the best overall time at the end of the day that wins, and he's a superb ITT (Race of truth).

It'll be an english language film aimed at the british market, so if you want to make a film on valverde or contator lobby the Spanish film industry!

Thing is - his story is excellent...

Track ---> Amazing Tour ----> Epic Fail of 2010 ( Sad part of movie ) ---> Victory 2012.

It just fits a sports flim, great start, problems and the end is happy.

Thing is you know, in that case you can make a trilogy about AC's career:

Super talent -> stroke & brain surgery -> starting to win again -> another big injury -> TdF victory -> Not being able to ride TdF, winning Giro + Vuelta --> Winning TdF despite of team being against him --> the 2010 Tour --> the Clen case --> being free to ride --> 2011 Giro & Tour --> Backdated suspension & losing two gt's --> Winning Vuelta a month after coming back.

So tell me, in which way is Wiggins' story so special apart from the fact that he's british and that he's a ****ing boring rider:rolleyes:

Listen, it's the Express. One of their typical throwaway articles that has nothing behind it. So, Rhys Ifans is being tipped. That's presumably because he has a similar look to Wiggins. And what's "a source"? It doesn't even specify what field the source comes from. The source could be the butcher who lives down the road or even another journalist simply speculating. I don't think people should use this article to have a go at the British or "Hollywood" attitudes towards the sport or Wiggins, as there is clearly nothing behind this story.
