but that's not true- He can well prepare himself to storm La Vuelta & get a great result IF HE WISHES TO- even more if he's seeking a contract outside SKY- it's all about perspective...
Unfortunately the Vuelta doesn't really suit him with the leg breaking high inclination climbs.

I agree with the last 2 posters, Wiggins need to focus on ITT at the Worlds. That is by far his biggest chance of a victory at the highest level.

And the Commonwealth Games will generate a lot of newspaper inches in the British and Australian press to keep his public profile [and value] high.

Even the worlds will be a hard task. After the parcours was changed to favour Tony Martins skillset. And never forget about Cancellara. It has been some years since he won it but he was awefully close sometimes.

It's not that I don't like Wiggins, quite the contraty, but I would bet my money on Martin every day on that course.

Oh dear Wiggo groupie what as gone on Wiggo had his drive back we were led to belive a good result in GC would have gave him a shot. You smell it a mile off who as the most drive in this sport people will say what has Wiggo left to achieve?. Well for one actually go for another GT without wasting a year. I have no doubt Wiggo in 12 form would and could have came 2nd in 2013. At least Froome finshed the Dauphinee.

Just as I suspected the decision by Sky to not include him in the TdF has destroyed him psychologically to the point that he just can't tough it out anymore :(

I don't get why his opinion is even brought in,it's just trolling from him,the Tinkoff team-manager talking about what should his main rivals do:rolleyes:

Agreed.

With Henao out I still wonder if Wiggins gets the call. I am sure there is some tense debates going on. Undoubtedly Froome could use his help IF he actually gave it his all. The distraction though would certainly be there even if Wiggins was committed to helping.

does the W has enough time to get rid of the fat due to the disappointment of nonselection? Maybe SKY has some magic fat lost potion in the trunk.

It's sort of like topics folks bring up in between races, or during the off season: it's literally something to talk about. I almost wish ASO would mandate that Sky bring him just for the sheer drama. :p:D

Could you give us an example of a dramatic, rapid weight loss by AC?
Didn't think so.

However Wiggo achieved this feat going from P-R to ToC. Hmmm

I made a rather lame joke referring to some weight-reducing stuff which was once found in ACs System. Never mind...

Tour of California looks a much stronger race than it did at the time. Wiggins should be annoyed with himself that he couldn't be bothered to go for the win in Switzerland in order to try for a completely meaningless track Gold in Glasgow.

Wiggins wins British TT champs

Wiggins wins British TT championship by 1min 8 secs from Thomas over 42k. Not bad on a 2 lap course with decent climb on it. It was raining as well. Well done Wiggo!

Not bad? He killed it.

Wiggins finished in a time of 53.56, more than a minute ahead of Team Sky colleague Thomas (55.04), with three-times winner Alex Dowsett third in 55.17. Welsh cyclist and Team Sky member Luke Rowe finished fourth in 56:55.

While I pretend to understand why he's not riding the TdF results like this make SKY's TdF choices look plain crazy.

Not official/confirmed yet, still a chance ! ;)

I hope so. If Thomas is riding then Wiggins should be. But Wiggins knows he won't be there which is a shame for him and his fans.

Agree with Dirty Works above. If Wiggins doesn't ride it will be because Froome doesn't want him there - which is obvious - and Brailsford doesn't want to rock the boat.
