Lol Bradley Wiggins has 2427 CQpoints now.

Here are the CQpoints that the ITT grants

1. 250 Points
2. 150
3. 120
4. 108
5. 96

Seems like Bradley is heading towards a 2500-2600 points season, at least.
Not quite what Gilbert did in 2011 but still probably the 2nd most CQpoints ever achieved in one season.

And all because of routes practically made for him.

More tin foil hat wearing. Are races with lot's of MTF's practically made for Contador? Contador returns for the Vuelta, he's Spanish and the parcours is described as:

so climber-friendly that it’s hard to see how a time trial specialist or rouleur will get a look-in at all.

nudge-nudge, wink-wink

The race would have been raced differently if it wasn't for the time trials. Anyway, there weren't any real mountain stages in this Tour anyway. Come back when outclimbs everyone on the Tourmalet.

Which with his current team and abilities is practically any route of PN, CD and TdF in quite a few years.

You must pardon Wiggins for targeting the races which most suit him. I'd also like to write off Boonen's successes earlier in the year, he only won all those races because the cobbles suited him so much, what a fraud.

Nibali attempted to crack Wiggins and didnt manage to then Sky managed to out climb them all on Peyragudes, how would have Nibali ever have managed to get enough time on Wiggins with or without TT.

True. But Nibali is not a top tier climber like Contador and Shleck.

If I remember right, Contador destroyed Nibali in the 2011 Giro which had a brutal amount of climbing.

I seriously doubt Sky's train could do anything over a course like that.

and Contador didn't race full out anymore in the 3rd week. The difference with Nibali could have been a humangous amount worse.

Etna was a power climb and Contador took what, 1'40 or something on Nibali? That was sick.

Indeed agreed about that, on a route without TT, Wiggins would have been outdone by Schleck and Contador. On a route with standard modern TT Wiggins probably would have only been outdone by Contador maybe Schleck depending on various factors.

Meanwhile in this Tour I think it was clear who the strongest riders on the climbs were.

This is interesting because I'm sure we'll find out next year. Perhaps they'll send more climbers as well? If it's all for Froome next year we could see a Sky train of Knees, EBH, Nordhaug, Rogers, Porte, Uran, Henao, Wiggo, Froome.

And that's assuming they make no additional signings. The Sky train is here to stay. It's basically going to be Froome v Contador over 50-100km of TTing in my opinion.

all well placed clims on this years tour where perfectly suited for the roller type of rider wiggins is.

replace la toussine with the mortirolo (i am overdoing it here but i hope you get the point) and i am fairly sure nibali would have been able to make wiggins struggle

Well despite the fact that Wiggo was not my choice to win I will give him the credit he deserves. He road a flawless race, not a single mistake in three weeks and then he Crushed them in the final ITT; riding like the Yellow Jersey should...Respect!!!!

Chapeau to Wiggo and Sky! They earned it on the roads of France!!!

Okay bring on the Vuelta for some excitement :)

Possibly but at the same time you would have said before the Tour that Wiggins would struggle on PDBF and he did not and that climb certainly does not suit the roleur type.

Thought that was the most exciting climb of this years edition. Good addition to the parcors. Hopefully we'll see it again.

Like the Angliru? Wiggins took 1.16 that day.

Possibly.

But take a brutal climb like the Zoncolan. I really doubt the domestiques from Sky could TT all the way to the top. I also wonder who Wiggins would do on a climb like that.

that climb was a 5k long hill, not exactly mortirolo like but ok.

ignoring the fact that nibali was amazingly out of shape at the vuelta last year aren't we? did you watch the zoncolan last year?

Simply making the point that despite being out of shape himself, Wiggins came 5th on arguably the toughest climb in Pro Cycling.

I'm pretty sure we'll see Planche des Belles Filles again. Prudhomme suggested that he hoped it would become a legendary climb of the Tour, with everything sorted logistically etc. to allow regular visits.

Amateur climb. Bring on the Zoncolan! And for fun add the Angliru too. Let's see Mr. Wiggins TT his way up that.
