Stop with the name-calling and personal attacks.

Also, this isn't the Sky thread. Any more mention here of their supposed, alleged doping program will be deleted.

Contador has been smeared plenty in the Froome thread with no consequence, why the double standard?

it's not difficult these days to join in on Contador's side.
Sky hired Walsh, Zorzoli and Cookson's son. Saxo let the results speak for them.

Never thought I would hear you say something like this.

I mean, even if SKY are acting shady, Tinkoff is still a team led by Bjarne freaking Riis, the one man who symbolizes everything that is wrong with this sport. A position only rivaled by his biggest star, A.C. Come back when Froome has tested positive, made a comeback, started riding for Bruyneel and when SKY are being investigated for medical waste during a GT.

Tinkoff also hired De Jongh.

They both hire the same people, the ones who get results. Only one side's fans bang on about being clean. Does no one see the difference here?
For the ten thousandth time:
Contador-doper
Froome-doper
Valverde-doper
Horner-doper
Sky-dopers
Saxo-dopers
BMC-dopers
Spaniards-dopers
Italians-dopers
Americans-dopers
English Irish Portuguese Colombians Dutch Vino Hamilton Landis the guys caught this week
The culture has not changed, the rules and the protocols have. Better science from testers has required better science from "trainers".

OK carry on with arguing that your guy is clean and would win everything if it wasn't for all those damn dirty dopers.

Who are you addressing this to, Hughj? The participants of this thread or the World? I've not read anybody here claiming cleanliness for Contador or Froome, although doubtless the whole of Spain, including the prime minister and Spanish cycling federation will tell you that Contador is pure as the driven snow, just as Kenyans sorry I mean British might be predisposed to trust Froome.

I don't think anybody in this thread does, though, do you?

I am sure she will crucify Contador again when it's necessary. Admiration will turn into hatred the same way it did with Lance and Vino.

You're making a mistake by assuming her thoughts, words and actions have a rational basis. :)

+1 to the whole message. I think the 'Froome is clean' group is the clinic's boogeyman. Something that is largely a figment of peoples' imaginations. That is not to say that many low info, casual fans don't think Contador, Nibali and Froome are doping. But posters on this forum is an altogether different demographic.

Thats because the bot software has changed to "everyone is doping, but why is Froome getting so much attention when Contador is the über doper"

That doesnt change the fact that the narrative used to be "Froome is cleans" and "Froome might be doping, but there is no evidence until he tests positive"

Sometimes you can even see the same poster come back with different opinions on different accounts after they get banned.

Crazy adaptive trolling.

That is absolutely false. Contador cries out about being a beacon of clean cycling at every opportunity.

I hope that's a general "you" and not really addressed to me.

I´ve also noticed the bizarre bot strategy of trying to pretend there are no such things as Froome fans on board. Meaning that they pretend to be non-beliebers in Froome in order to turn away the focus from their man. In the past they´ve used to argue themselves blue in the defense of his cleaness but when called out they would point at how many it is "who hates Froome" and asks rhetorical "who defends Froome".

Thus was the strategy of "defending while not claiming to be a defender" born.

With Contador winning the Vuelta it offers the perfect opportunity to change the narrative against the spaniard back as the evil drug overlord whom the innocent Froome and Sky "needs" to catch up to in order to be back on winning ways. All this and still claims to be anti-doping.

Haha. So 3 of those links are related to his doping case. What is he supposed to say when he's asked if he's clean? "No way, I'm doped up on every substance you can imagine"? Haha.

I've yet to see evidence that supports your claim that Contador is just as bad as Sky when it comes to clean cycling propaganda.

I'll help you. The only occasions I can remember, is when Contador said he supports life bans, and at the 2011 TDF press conference.

Hardly "every opportunity". But I didn't expect anything else from you.

What?!

Did he say that with a straight face?! What was the response?

Contador: "We should have life bans in cycling"
Reporter: "Yeah, but then you would be driving a truck back in Spain with Mayo?!"
Contador: "No, not for me. I am clean you see."

….

Those examples are when he's asked. Those are the opportunities. He takes them.

I didn't say he's just as bad as Sky. As Hitch pointed out several times, Contador doesn't attack dopers, so he's not as hypocritical in that regard. But the notion that Contador doesn't spout clean cycling propaganda, which I see repeated here often, is completely absurd.

You know that, yet you're nitpicking. There's a difference between "I'm innocent" (which is BS, but part of any sane defense) and "I've always surrounded myself with people who opposed doping" (which not only is BS, but also demonstrably false from the nanosecond that piece of crap leaves his mouth). The latter demonstrates a level of cynicism and hypocrisy that has rarely been matched.

I'm sick of Froome and Contador fans whitewashing what their respective heros say and do. This is not Good Froome vs Evil Contador, nor the other way around. This is fanboys defending their doper of choice with lame tu quoque arguments.

Oh, I know that. I just think you're massively overreacting.

Now, a question. This is what Kimmage asked:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Aj4VTOIZZA

What would have been the correct reply, in your opinion. "I am innocent" is NOT an option, because it simply doesn't fit as a reply.

PS legendary reply from Alberto: "I believe you are not well informed" :D

I don't know. I thought it was quite funny.
