Not anywhere near 2009. I am disappointed. I thought he crushed Martin when I looked at the number of posts this thread had in the last 2 hours.

He got told via radio to ease up, Valverde was very bad, no need to humiliate Martin.

Yep I realise that but here's a rider who was pinged for doping, so is it safe to assume his stellar performances of yonder were somewhat dubious ? He then returned and didn't ride at his previous level. Now he's looking back to that level, so either he's back on the juice or somehow he's suddenly improved naturally to the level that previously required dope to achieve - may be it is that new training regime.
Must've had a chat with Hesjedal

Got to be tough for Sky fans! Just remember Sky/Froome fans when you live in a glass house you shouldn't throw stones.

Looks like Bertie is back to his 09 vintage. It would be interesting if he could keep his 09 TT level and find his 07 climbing level. For me his 07 climbing level was up there with the great dopers of the past.

He is like that. "Redflanders" is another one, but at least he was honest (he told me in an open post that he likes everything about CH, but is sure he is doping; OTOH calls me trolling/nonsensical if I use the same hateful comments on his idol like the "Clinic superstars" do constantly on Froome, his girl, SKy, basically everybody close to british road cycling... if dopers get caught w/other teams they do all twists possible to connect these advents to Sky. It´s grotesque.)

For me there's no question whether Contador or Froome use doping. Yes, they do, either it is doping or new methods which can not be called doping due to brand new technologies. It doesn't matter. However, why Contador seems to be a real champion while Froome is not handled like a legitimate champion is a puzzle. Sometimes I observe people loves to operate with definition of 'talent'. It looks like talent itself allows Contador to be a legitimate doper, but it doesn't work for Froome as many people think. It is a hypocritical stance through and through and the sceptic is the brightest example of that. Tbh, I've read most of the thread and still I'm shocked how people prefer to sink in their personal sympathies.

You may disagree with the whole notion of "talent shows early" and thus with believing Contador would still be up there in a clean field while Froome wouldn't (which would mean Froome adulterates the competition more than Contador). However, that doesn't make those who adhere to that theory inconsistent, hypocritical or biased.

If he does, it is game over for everyone.

I want to see some Rasmussen v Contador 2007 style **** up every mountain. Bring it on.

Only you can't really compare Froome to Rasmussen. The latter had far more class on the bike.

Also It's not really Froome's style of riding to do as Rasmussen did against Contador in, say, Peyresourde. He can't do it. He'd wait for Porte to pull (try) back Contador and eventully do the One attack he usually does.

Many people absolutely sincerely suppose that Froome doesn't kind of deserve to be on Contador's level or better because it doesn't match cycling they want to see. The general idea is about that. Talent is just an option to try to justify this on a rational basis.

In short, I prefer to enjoy races because both of them are great champions. But what people say about Froome here is shocking. Dividing riders on legitimate winners and lucky rookies is a road to nowhere.

I don't get how this ITT is so suspicous? Can someone explain me that?

This ain't the Contador of '09 yet. Doesn't mean he's not doping but this isn't full *** to the max.

It's ridicilous if people act like today was an outragous doping performance by Contador.

The time gaps are extremly modest, nothing spectacular.
The average spead wa slike 41 km/h. Quiet a slow time trial, showing that it was quiet hilly.
Frankly i would have excpected Contador tp whip Tony's *** on this track.

Absolutely nothing. If Contador showed this result in a long flat TT, I would have been surprised because as far as I remember his best long flat TT was in the 2007 Tour. A 25 km hilly one is totally within the limits of normal. :)

thats because Froome is clean and Rasmussen and Contador are dopers.

No matter how much style Contador has on a bike i find it disgusting because he is a doper.

You do know that we all agree with you. We all hate dopers.

It was Annecy TdF 2009. He beat Canc to win the stage. One Brad Wiggins was 43 sec down and poor Tony Martin, not yet the panzer of today, was a minute down our wonderkid Alberto. Today was nothing out of the ordinary considering what he was up to this season.

It looks like Brailsford's prophecy was correct. Contador is beating doped performances while being cleans. :D

TDF will be fun to watch for sure.

Froome and Contador are both dopers but at least Berto looks good both on and off the bike. Neither can be said about Froome :)
