lol, yes, in the slipstream of 2 cars and another rider. He was 15s faster in 1km hahaha. For all those still denying how much advantage you get overtaking another rider on a flat straight in a TT.
Don't exagerate. But with the help of Roglic and his car, Ganna certainly won a few seconds. But Evenepoel also declared after the finish he wasn't at his best during the closing kilometers. In general, the TT-position of Evenepoel wasn't excellent during some parts of the course. Also standing on the pedals in a not that steep climb, was remarkable. Or he was a bit stiff, or he hadn't his best legs today. But also considering his problems just before the start, the lack of power meter and the rather short pacing of Roglic, Evenepoel did well. Not his best performance, but still. Also let us not forget that from place three, the differences are huge.

He could even stop and show his bike at the line with 6”.

Closer than expected, I think he knew 20” in front and did easier on the corners. Last km he only lost 1” to Ganna.
Having a huge draft and Evenepoel not pushing hard anymore from 100/150 m of the finish.

Yeah, because that so easy to do... lol.

You are just wrong on this one and cant take anything away from what Martin did on a TT-bike. One of the best to ever do it, no matter what you think.
One of them. But not the best.

Jesus christ. I never said he was though, but that he was definitely up there and clearly ahead of many. Look at what I first responded to. And he might arguably be second to Cancellara.

You tryna say he aint up there and laughing over it was just stupid.

You suggested him as possible TT goat. I think he is below that level.

Yes, and what is wrong with that when it is arguably only one other who can match him and be ahead? You are wrong to call it a level below, when he definitely is in the conversation.

I did also mention Cancellara in my post, who probably is number 1 with Martin making a strong case to be second. And my post was in response to calling Remco the TT Goat when there are still a few ahead of him but Remco aint too far off. Talk about taking things out of context.

For the record:

Cancellara has 2 Olympics, 4 WCs and 58 ITT victories.

Martin has 4 WCs and 50 ITT victories.

You are just dying on a hill atm.

Another phenomenal performance from Remco Evenepoel, retaining his TT title in splendid style, now an Olympic and World Champion concurrently. His record at major championships is incredible, and he is still only twenty-four years old.

He is now the first cyclist in history, male or female, to win both the Olympic and World Championships TT in the same year.

Yes, but in one day TT Big Mig was less dominant. Indurain was world TT champ once (in 1995). It was Indurain's TTs in grand tours which were unrivaled then and since.
I don't think he started in many world (and Olympic) TT's though.
Wasn't the first ITT in the world championships in 1995?

Anquetil? Cancellara? Martin? Merckx? Hinault? Rominger?

Remco is good but he's not there yet LOL

Why not, honestly?

The only thing speaking against him seems to be young age and thus he hasn't ridden as many TTs as the others.

That was Anquetil wasn't it?

The French like to tell everyone Grand Prix des nations was the unofficial World Championships but they are just statpadding, composed mostly of French bakers and a couple of Italians. Remco is beating the best of the best in serious international events.
And Anquetil won only a "ciciban ITT's" ( as legendary Mou says).
63 of them,
including 18 in Grand Tours (11 at Tour de France),
GP Lugano, GP Martini, Trofeo Barrachi multiple times, alongside that French bakers race, beating all that best bakers and farmers in the process: Kubler, Brankart, Fornara, Ockers, Riviere, Baldini, Graf, Gaul, Altig, Poulidor, Bracke, Gimondi and Merckx.

There were quite a few actually:
Coppi, Anquetil, Merckx, Hinault, Moser, Indurain...
