Careful Buckwheat, next thing you know fat is gonna be PMing you threatening to come over to your house to beat you up.:D

Not even close. Just observing how hard it must be to have a web persona that would be impossible to maintain in the real world. A difference of opinion doesn't warrant name calling, most important names and the response to them get threads closed down for the avoidable. Buckwheat I am sure is insulated, he also can't travel to the Carolina's because of disdain for what he thinks are rednecks

Well it was an imbecilic post that he was responding to. He prolly should have just said "not too smart" though.

Please note that the shatterproof beer glasses are only being used in the UK. Often the use of imbecile will have your attitude adjusted with a glass, bottle or fist in non-cyber situations. In one of your earlier posts you say you had connection to NYC,I find that hard to grasp given your Jersey Shore style remarks.

Glad you gave me the chance to address this.

I have respect for people.

I'm toning it down here on the advice of the authorities.

I do strongly state my opinion when I see an injustice in real life.

If it comes down to fighting, I accept that.

"Reasonable men adapt, unreasonable men persist in adapting the world to themselves. Therefore all change is the result of the unreasonable man."

GB Shaw

BTW, please explain to me how anyone can support someone like Sarah Palin. She's the best person to articulate the viewpoints of a "Conservative."

She's makes leftists like you squirm. That's the reason I support her.

For the life of me I don't know what you guys are afraid of. But your side is certainly afraid of her. One can always tell how you guys feel by how you act and what you say. It's a dead give-away.

I thought before voting for him that he was a pragmatist, and I believe he is. He is based in liberal philosophy, but I truly believe he is concerned with doing what works. Just look at GITMO. You guys are killing him over it, but the reality is that he got to office and realized the difficulties in dealing with the situation. I don't think he would have chosen that method of detainment were he president on 9-11, but he got there and had to deal with it.

Unfortunately Rahm seems to be whispering too much pragmatism:

here

[...]But Holder, who had studied law at Columbia with Telford Taylor, the chief American prosecutor in the Nuremberg trials, was profoundly upset after seeing classified documents explicitly describing C.I.A. prisoner abuse. The United Nations Convention Against Torture requires the U.S. to investigate credible torture allegations. Holder felt that, as the top law-enforcement officer in the U.S., he had to do something.

Emanuel couldn’t complain directly to Holder without violating strictures against political interference in prosecutorial decisions. But he conveyed his unhappiness to Holder indirectly, two sources said. Emanuel demanded, “Didn’t he get the memo that we’re not re-litigating the past?

His knack for political games could well 'pave the way' for a second Abu Ghraib:

With General Stanley McChrystal, who commanded JSOC from 2003-2008, running the war, forces–and commanders–accustomed to operating in an unaccountable atmosphere now have unprecedented influence on overall US military operations, opening the door for an expansion of secretive, black operations done with little to no oversight. "The main thing to take away here is a recognition and acceptance of the paradigm shift that has occurred," says the former CENTCOM employee. "Everything is one echelon removed from before: where CIA was the darkest of the dark, now it is JSOC. Therefore, military forces have more leeway to do anything in support of future military objectives. The CIA used to have the ultimate freedom–now that freedom is in JSOC’s hands, and the other elements of the military have been ordered to adapt.

She's so bad I squirm in embarassment for her.

Semi rational people (not you) like Scott Schmidt and Nicolle Wallace were terrified that she would become POTUS if McCain died.

Look, if she runs in 2012, it might be the biggest landslide Democratic victory ever.

She'll get fanatical support from 25% of the population which is a sad commentary on the American public. Most everyone else will be repulsed.

She's running on "divine intervention" right now.

They have a nice camera shot up her skirt right now.

Damn, I did like her last answer about not faking bi partisanship.

I hope Obama was listening.

My experience that people who use the term "leftist" especially as an insult rarely ever know what the term means. Same goes for people on the other side of the aisle who use the term "neocon".

Sarah Palin makes any intelligent conservative squirm out of sheer embarrassment for the country.

This makes no sense. How else could you tell how people feel other than by the way they act and what they say?

Jeez I hope you are right, and we don't get a bunch of dipsticks (I won't name any names here, but you know) voting for her because "at least she's not Obama". Which would be her complete campaign platform if she were to be the Retardlican candidate next time around.

I'm reasonably well versed in what the term 'leftist' means. If you read Buckwheats posts you will realize that the term was not being used as an insult and I kid him by bringing up Palin at any (every?) opportunity.

But seriously, I'm not sure where the consternation comes from. Conservative woman perhaps? Pro-life and pro-gun? I just don't get it.

Edit: When the left start with the hysterics and name calling it's very easy to see what's happening. Their argument becomes 100% emotional and 100% devoid of facts, or a tactic that is 100% Alinsky. That is what I meant by 'act and say'. Probably could have worded the comment better.

Palin's AK emails are released and you can search them online here with a background story and here

She'll have to open a 'prespalin@yahoo.com' account to keep secrets and send 'annonymous' emails:

Sarah Palin <govpalin@yahoo.com> wrote:
Mike or Frank - does anyone know how anyone could send an annonymous email from
my old personal account (spalin@mtaonline.net) that I don't even use anymore... I did
NOT send this email.

Go back a few pages, I'm just yanking your chain with Palin. I will re-state, as a conservative I do not think she's electable.

I thought Hillary was polarizing. Palin makes Hillary look like a rank amateur in this arena.

Look, at some point people have to stop describing the media in terms of "pro-Democrat" or "pro-Republican". The media in America is an arm of various corporate entities. They favor those politicians who best serve their interests, regardless of where they stand on other issues they believe are peripheral.

As for Palin, she is the culmination of what has been an anti-intellectual movement in American politics dating back at least 50 years. She's poorly educated, intellectually limited, and easily controlled given her desire for pecuinary gain. Palin is a perfect candidate for a conglomerate of special interests who want to have someone in the White House who can serve as a Manchurian candidate.

she does not need a teleprompter... her notes are so extensive they fit on the
palm of her hand. lmao.

I think (and hope) she knows her likelihood of being elected to a major office (pres/gov/sen) are slim to none. But whoever is the next repub nominee for president is very likely to win the presidency.

The dems are trying to concoct a coup against NY gov paterson right now, and if obama's polls are where they are now (or lower) in 2 years, I would not be surprised to see someone from his OWN party empty out the skeletons from his closet in order to insert a stronger candidate for pres.

I hope I made the 'if' above big enough, because in 2 years just about anything can happen to reverse his fortunes (or not).

lastly, the 'fun' thing about Palin is without even mentioning her name, the 'progressives/libs/democrats' completely freak out at the thought of her. Dems love the little guy, so long as they know their place.

It has nothing to do with her being a "little guy." It has to do with her being a dumba$$ who spouts propaganda and little else in terms of political thought, and doesn't have the brains to do complex things like rubbing her tummy and patting her head at the same time. It is even more infuriating that there are people who actually believe she could serve as president. Its funny, Rush went on and on about this video of people standing in line to vote for Obama. Funny that he never mentioned this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKKKgua7wQk

Anyway, most of us who can actually use our brains are a bit put off by someone who isn't a mile wide and an inch deep. She is an inch wide and an inch deep. Throw into the mix Fundamentalist lunacy, and you can understand why she is a bit of a target.

Lastly, the funny part of the Palin hand notes is that she delivered a line about Obama and teleprompters during the same speech. She is a fucking moron who is better suited for talk shows than political office...not that there is that much of an IQ spread between the two, but she is on the short side regardless.
