So gut the whole system country wide..end public schools..hate that any tax dollars are spent. hate all teachers. hate all union people..

Why is it that the Unions have to be bad? Is it because they are so strapped to their benefit packages that they can not fire and hire depending on performance?

At my job you could work for years without a poor performance appraisal and get one and have your job threatened. That is the extreme to the other side of the argument but I would think you get it don't you?

"YOUR" just pretending to be like a Tango Papa resident correct?

In a non union environments you are a discretionary employee. can be fired for any reason. Many people resent union represented workers for this reason..Them unlike the union person can have the carpet pulled out from under them at anytime. They can get all the best reviews and still get fired or never get raises or promotions or have better or safer working conditions.

Having had jobs pulled out from under me by union "reps" and shop stewards in favor of their friends/family negates that argument for me. Having Union reps attempt to shut down projects where we have hired, trained and pay the workers more than possible under a Union Contract and have those same reps candidly say: "we just want the initiation fees. None of these guys will work long enough to get a pension". Most trade Unions are more corrupt than the UCI and bring precious little value to the construction industry.

Sounds like the Little Picture to me. Just like the bad teacher that can't be fired meme so f-up the whole thing. Union people in general do not have to offer their wives to their boss and have a picture of Ronald Reagan on their desk in order to succeed, get raises, stay working. Need a more blunt analogy ?

I have no idea as i have him blocked if redtreviso still does the " I decide what you think" trick, pasting something stupid said by someone else then telling scott and others that they are responsible for it.

But since he did that all the time, he should have no problem with me doing it to him once.

So trollviso. You are therefore responsible for what Cindy Sheehan - your hero (as you tell Scott regarding Limbaugh), just said

I am sorry, but if you believe the newest death of OBL, you're stupid. Just think to yourself--they paraded Saddam's dead sons around to prove they were dead--why do you suppose they hastily buried this version of OBL at sea? This lying, murderous Empire can only exist with your brainwashed consent--just put your flags away and THINK!

No they are not. I suppose that those in the US are, but there are many people from other places in the world that read this forum.

Context is everything.

I was talking about the US system and I think you know it.

I know perfectly well what your point was.

I just wanted to see you put in print the assertion that all the peoples' of the world will be as shallow as you expect, regardless of their cultural background.

Believe it or not, not all everybody in the world makes their decisions from an "American-Centric" viewpoint.

Why don't you point to where I assert ALL the peoples of the world will choose a higher income (I can only assume this is what you mean by 'shallow').

I made no assumption that everyone in the world makes their decisions on an 'American -Centric' perspective. But I do understand human nature. 10 years of higher education for an opportunity of an averge wage earning ability may not be attractive to some of the brightest that otherwise would go into medicine. That is neither shallow or uniquely American.

What a joke.. There's absolutely no threat of Doctors becoming average wage earners.. OTOH Many Teachers have 5 years of higher education and never had an eye on above average wages but to you they need to be discredited and have the earning ability cut.

Sounds like the little picture? Spoken like someone who's never dirtyed their hands with manual labor and learned the skills to move to managing that same labor. I said nothing about pimping wives or possessing pictures of false gods to appease a idealogue. You confuse big things with small things and vice versa.

I've dirtied my hands to the point I could barely use them so fu..I'm just saying the average white color worker resents the union worker because the union worker gets his wages and benefits by contract and the non union one has to make personal sacrifices in trade. YES BOSS ANYTHING FOR YOU BOSS

Your generalizations and prejudices are getting narrower. Now you speak for the average white collar worker, too?
As for the fu...I'll decline but it's OK if you want to treat yourself.

watch out Bandar

""The assault force of Navy SEALs snatched a trove of computer drives and disks during their weekend raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound, yielding what a U.S. official called “the mother lode of intelligence.”

The special operations forces grabbed personal computers, thumb drives and electronic equipment during the lightning raid that killed bin Laden, officials told POLITICO.

“They cleaned it out,” one official said. “Can you imagine what’s on Osama bin Laden’s hard drive?”

U.S. officials are about to find out. The material is being examined at a secret location in Afghanistan.

“Hundreds of people are going through it now,” an official said, adding that intelligence operatives back in Washington are very excited to find out what they have.""

Really?

Altogether, ObamaCare cuts $818 billion from Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) from 2014-2023, the first 10 years of its full implementation, and $3.2 trillion over the first 20 years, 2014-2033. Adding in ObamaCare cuts for Medicare Part B (physicians fees and other services) brings the total cut to $1.05 trillion over the first 10 years and $4.95 trillion over the first 20 years.

These draconian cuts in Medicare payments to doctors, hospitals and other health-care providers that serve America's seniors
were the basis for the Congressional Budget Office's official "score"—repeatedly cited by the president—that the health-reform legislation would actually reduce the federal deficit.

I can only imagine the howl I'd hear from you if these doctors were public workers.

The median expected salary for a typical Physician - Family Practice in the United States is $172,627. This basic market pricing report was prepared using our Certified Compensation Professionals' analysis of survey data collected from thousands of HR departments at employers of all sizes, industries and geographies.
Source: HR Reported data as of May 2011

US doctors salary, net per month in dollars (2005) $8,189
UK doctor $6,045
Japan $5,401
France $2,843
Italy $3,294

I'm betting that when nationalized health care is fully implemented (in a few generations or so) there will be wage parity with other countries. Theirs won't come up.... our will come down.

Klink, I invite you to show the board where I have dis-creditied teachers (except for Rhubroma).

""In 2000, the Healthcare Company, formerly Columbia/HCA, pleaded guilty to criminal conduct and agreed to pay more than $840 million in criminal fines, civil penalties and damages for unlawful billing practices. Most of the money was recovered under the False Claims Act. Later, HCA agreed to pay $631 million to settle charges that it submitted false claims to Medicare and paid kickbacks to physicians. The settlements were the largest for fraud ever negotiated by the Justice Department (news - web sites). Whistleblowers Jim Alderson and John Schilling split $100 million of one settlement before legal fees and taxes and Alderson, in a related case, was given about $20 million. ""

Probably settled for a dime on the dollar..

BTW this is former Senator Bill Frist's(R) family..

When you speak of government inefficiency and give it all over to the free market these are the causers.. YOUR KIND.. You never made a peep or would never dare...Jeb Bush was up to his eyeballs in medicare fraud too..Hell. you'd vote for him for president..

When presented with factual data you change the subject. How convenient.

I'd say you are embarrassing yourself but there really needs to be a measure of self awareness before you will even realize this.

You can link to the Jeb Bush/Medicare fraud. I'll read and consider. You should try doing the same.

No reason to let the truth get in the way when making a point, right?

Don't do it at someone else's expense. No matter how much you may disagree with them.

I just deleted like 7 posts in here. We need to be less insulting and less taunting in the arguments here. There's no reason to do that, when we have shown that everyone here is capable of civil discourse when they want to.

Stay on the high road people.
