Has been a while since my last post. Couldn't be bothered to read all the posts. Has anyone mentioned P.Sagan? He's in super form at the moment and the slight uphill finish really suits him, has he got the legs to last a long race? Is it worth putting some money on him as an outsider, I bet the odds are really good. I need some advice, thanks guys
Yes, he's been mentioned a few hundred times. I wouldn't put my money on him, he will be given far too low odds considering that he hasn't performed in a 260 km+ race yet.

And I don't think he would do well in bad circumstances (rain, wind) which aren't that unlikely.

So how much is it from the final climb to the finish? If the finish is right on the top, than Gilbert ftw. From the video, it's obviously too steep for pure sprinter.

From the video I saw, it's obviously not too steep for pure sprinters.

For Gilbert it might be harder to win than for the tough guys among the sprinters. Even Gilbert said that this one was perfect for the likes of Boonen or Freire (in shape).
Greipel is also be hard to beat on those not too steep finishes.

My three favorites are
Sagan, Greipel when it comes to a sprint, or Spartacus (with a late attack).

Not sure about Cav. Have doubts about form, team support and that finish.
Too much doubts, but wouldn't rule him out either. Same goes for Hushovd who has been seriously ill last week.

btw, I need some help with the women for a WC prediction game. :D
Need 2 names for both, TT and RR.

I know some names like Voss, Cooke and the German girls, but have no clue about their condition or other favorites etc.....

Hints by top-informed experts of womans races would be highly appreciated. :)

Can't be ahsed putting Cav in. He'll either win or he won't. Same with Cancellara. Oops, forgot Farrar, nvm.

Cav will have a strong team. Still if the racing is hard, he could suffer a bit. I don't know what Greipel's form is like, but he is well suited to this course. As is Gossy although I don't know what his form is like either. Spartacus will be good, and he could make a move like Terpstra did last year and actually stay away.

The final K has a stretch of 400m against 4%. Strong sprinters like Hushovd, Bennati, Sagan and Goss certainly have a chance there, but even a pure sprinter like Cavendish, Greipel or Farrar could win.

Sorry for that picture being small. I would say it's elevation of about 20-25 meters. And it's about 300 metres long (since car in video climbed it in 15 seconds while driving very slowly). These numbers say it's steeper than 6% so you can safely rule out pure sprinters.

Sagan definitely seems to be in the best shape. The question is if he can last the full distance. I'd like to see him win for sure. If he can get to the line in the peloton, he have a very very good chance at winning. Although same goes for Cav. Once he sees the line hes tough to beat.

I don't think you can safely rule out any sprinter, if you look back around page 76 there's a link that details all the hills and it puts the finish hill at 550m at about 4%. No way will that stop any sprinter once they see the line, especially when they are motivated like they are for this race. Don't rule out the head factor.
