Not surprised Sagan wasn't a factor, he had been in form since Strade Bianche and didn't ride PR last week so he probably lost a decent amount of form since Flanders.

Kreuziger, Valverde, Gerrans

Pretty good edition this year. Lots of attacks, epic ride by Asterloza - man he lasted long. Great move by Kreuziger, everyone in the peloton was waiting for Sagan perhaps, and he didn't deliver, so the rest was caught holding the bag. Good attack by Weening as well, who opened the finale.

Won't top Roubaix though, but better than RVV.

Has Kreuzinger slimmed down more this year?

Also, was he more a diesel before? Riis is good with diesel riders.

Kreuziger did an excellent job today. He must be very valuable to Saxo - Tinkoff.

I'm glad that he won , because the peloton played his cards very poorly perhaps they were afraid of Sagan... But Kreuziger also was very strong , the only one who was never caught. He certainly did not steal his win , very deserved win.

Coongratulations to him.

Yes, well deserved. Congrats.

Valverde was clearly the strongest between the favorites. Looks like he is getting ready for the only race that motivates him a little besides the tour (which doesn't suit him... everything else does.).

You mean wheel sucking his way to a non-win? :D

Yeah, that's piti.

How was it a wheelsuck? He was a little back, chased onto Gerrans wheel, then brought him up to Gilbert.

Kreuzinger was terrific at Tirreno, I think.

Makes the Tour a whole lot more interesting. Key guy for Alberto.

great win for kreuziguer

the race wasn't really that bad with attacks from far away from second tier riders, if only the top favourites raced like guys like kreuziguer and weening did today the race would be great.

He sat on for about 30" on the flat, then attacked.

Exactly.

He was in bad position, but caught Gilbert and outsprinted everyone.
He is clearly the strongest.
